When i downloaded poison ivy my Norton was deleting it so i turned off Norton (and trust me nothing should have happened because i just got a new computer and hadn't gone on the internet or anything) but i got poison ivy running then i restarted the comp the next day and BAM it was crashed and i had to do system restore. My comp got rid of poison ivy and now im scared to download it again!

No-ip does not hide your public IP address! All it does it give you a dynamic dns subdomain.

Do you trust poison ivy? Have you seen the source code, inspected it and compiled it yourself? How do you know the devs of poison ivy havent installed a malicous backdoor into their code so that they can use you as a backdoor?

@TheCurious61 No, its because its a hacking tool... all anti-virus go off on hacking tools.. not to mention this thing generates torjans so it in itself contains a trojan. It's safe for you to use... but yes you do need to disable your antivirus to use it.

I put mine in a folder and told my anti-virus to ignore that folder

I have a problem , i opened the port (for tcp and udp) i disabled fireware (on the pc and the rooter) i verified with "PFPortChecker" if my port is open (before and after opening it) so I'm sure that my port is opened but i still don't detect the server no-ip or dyndns ! where can be the probleme (i tried with bifrost and proRat too it's the same thing)

im going to point out somethings.ok when u port forward it has to be your defualt gateway(which isnt always 192.168.1.1). also the 2 most common defualt router passwords are a either a combination of admin, admin or admin, password(not password1). if u have problems look up your specific router.

Yes. The program itself is not dangerous (where you can control their computer and what not), but when you build the server for them to click on, it makes it (thus the title "backdoor.constructionkit"). SUGGESTION: Temporarly disable the AV or Scanning.

You should get a notification in the task bar, if PI (Poison Ivy) is open. Otherwise, when you do run it, it should say somthing like "New Connection" and show up on the connection list.
