  • That's ace. I'm making one later. Is it a 40106?

  • Anyone thought of Circuit bending a Car's Horn in situ? Erm yeah I just did I guess...

  • Sample & Hold feature?

  • Commander Keen much?

  • fuckin skill man

  • very freaking cool. based on the dual APC concept? but with squarewave lfo etc? i have yet to build a joystick synth

  • to me most sounds space age , sound of Diesel engines an wired Sirens xD

  • I want to play with your big red joystick too! It has more visual appeal than anything ;]

  • i would use this for an endless supply of samples

  • did you build that thing yourself

  • wow that machine should be called pisser offer. it just put me in a really bad mood.

  • hahah good one bro

  • you should listen to merzbow. its the complete opposite of this.

  • te he

  • There's a lot of parts just in the video that I'd sample the shit out of & use for rhythm... (for the people who don't get the point of building something that you can't play melodies on)

  • dobrý prístroj aj ja by som taký chcel

  • sweet device! it looks like a tandy or caleco joy fixed to a car tune horn!

    luvs for that!!!

I dig your tunes!kinda wish I had me one in my truck to scare off the hippies who wanna cross the toad without a green signal.Or trance them, so I can hit them...

    slippery turds....

    A + + in my books!

  • i couldn't agree less

  • i couldn't agree more

  • I like that joy stick..I've got to start using more mame parts :)

  • Did yu got em??? The aliens???

  • hahahaha fucking funny

  • You should call it the "Merzhorn" and sell it to Masami Akita lol - he'd real dig that.

  • "Merzhorn" LMFAO! XD

Your comment was the best thing I got out of this video. =)

  • this makes me lololololololololol

  • The loudspeaker (is that what it is?) looks fantastic! Is it.... something you've circuit-bent or built from the ground up?

  • Kind of like driving my crappy car. Hehe cool thing.

  • it would be awesome to implement some kind of playability to all of these noise synths...

  • yeah cus its not like hes playing it at all...........

  • no, he just manipulating the different parameters of the machine to produce sounds of different pitch and waveform, what I mean is to combine these kinds of synths wih a keyboard, so you could actually play notes and chords.

  • different pitch and waveform = different notes, different notes in a sequence = music, i get what you are saying, but it isn't a keyboard, its more like an, i cant think of its name but you play its a magnetic field that you interfer with to change pitch and frequecey.like and ariel and a wire. same idea

  • yeah, a theremin.

What i'm trying to say, though, is that it would be interesting to combine a noise synth with the playability of a normal synthesizer. I'm not trashing noise synth, or noise synthers.

  • thats it, nice one dude. yeah i get what your saying. no worries. peace

  • I want one!!!!!!!

  • LOUD!!

im not much for synths but pretty cool...

  • Schematic or it didn't happen :P. seriously though schematic pleeeease :3.

  • damn i want this thing

  • -]. SOUNDS PHATASTIC!!!! .[-

  • Very cool machine, man! Respect! Love how the joystick makes it a very expressive instrument, & adding the looper is a great idea. Can I ask what the joystick does exactly? Does it mix the 4 oscillators together, or does it control how they modulate eachother?

  • sounds like atari :D

  • Atari console on acid!

  • That thing is cool.

  • Note to self: turn monitor volume down before watching again >.< lol

  • I own this very synth.

    Megaphone is EXTREMELY loud.

  • im perminantly deff after hearing that haha, but pretty cool man

  • awsome please make a video on how to build one, share your skills with the world man!! I love your video and your oscillator!

  • sounds very relaxing ;)

  • Yeah, especially at about 1:25 :)

  • i am having willy wonka flashbacks!!! noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!

  • coool...are there books out there how to build this things?

  • yeah take a joystick outta an arcade game an put this in its place

  • how do i make this?

  • holy crap this thing is amazing. how long did it take you to build the thing?

  • Not too long the circuit is fairly easy. Painting and deciding where things should go is what took most time.

  • DIAGRAM!!!!!

    pleease ^^

  • Listening to this now I know where skinny puppy got some of their sound effects..... LOLZ

  • That's fantastic - the joystick is really a great addition. That big horn gives it a great look. Nice work!

  • this thing totally rocks

  • you have anything like this for sale? hit me up...

  • Very nice work! check the groups section on my channel, I've created a group for circuit bent and synth DIY

  • you should totally put this in place of a joystick in an arcade game...confuse the fuck out of gamers.

  • this is pure sweetness to me. I've been trying top build a rudimentary Theremin for years and along the way I've stumbled upon interesting oscillations and always had the idea to make something like this
