There's a lot of parts just in the video that I'd sample the shit out of & use for rhythm... (for the people who don't get the point of building something that you can't play melodies on)
sweet device! it looks like a tandy or caleco joy fixed to a car tune horn!
luvs for that!!!
I dig your tunes!kinda wish I had me one in my truck to scare off the hippies who wanna cross the toad without a green signal.Or trance them, so I can hit them...
no, he just manipulating the different parameters of the machine to produce sounds of different pitch and waveform, what I mean is to combine these kinds of synths wih a keyboard, so you could actually play notes and chords.
different pitch and waveform = different notes, different notes in a sequence = music, i get what you are saying, but it isn't a keyboard, its more like an, i cant think of its name but you play its a magnetic field that you interfer with to change pitch and frequecey.like and ariel and a wire. same idea
What i'm trying to say, though, is that it would be interesting to combine a noise synth with the playability of a normal synthesizer. I'm not trashing noise synth, or noise synthers.
Very cool machine, man! Respect! Love how the joystick makes it a very expressive instrument, & adding the looper is a great idea. Can I ask what the joystick does exactly? Does it mix the 4 oscillators together, or does it control how they modulate eachother?
this is pure sweetness to me. I've been trying top build a rudimentary Theremin for years and along the way I've stumbled upon interesting oscillations and always had the idea to make something like this
um ... keep practicing

The loudspeaker (is that what it is?) looks fantastic! Is it.... something you've circuit-bent or built from the ground up?

Not too long the circuit is fairly easy. Painting and deciding where things should go is what took most time.
