Hey there, cool video, do the nymphs have a sort of stinger at the end of their 'tail' cuz my cousin touched one bcause it was stuck in the net and he said it hurt a little, I was just wondering if this was true??
hey, me and my friend were out herping and found a few large (about inch long) water insects under rocks. there brown and look like dead leafs, and also propel them selfs by shooting water from there butt :p if you could help me that would be great! BTW, im in canada, ON.
Yes those guppies did give birth to some babies ;). It happens all the time. You can ususally tell by an inlarged body and enlarged silverish grey area below the begining of the .tail. Yes those where either tubifex or bloodworms which ever you preffer :P. Thanks for your help :)
u rock u sound liek some i'm looking for lol i do this stuff my self but in ohio its kinda hard to all year round to find stuff i've always been on the look out for vids an thigns liek this rock on
Nice video, one thing though do you catch em or do you order them online, if so where, I never even seen a back swimmer, as for the other insects none of the local pet shops sell them. Please let me know as I am a fan of these creatures and would like to breed them.
Hi, sincerely sorry for the late reply... No I don't purchase the dragonfly nyphs rather I collect them in ponds. If you live somewhere with warm climates throughout the whole year you can collect them all year :D!
Hey,after keeping those aquatic insects,in the tank i have the beetles in,The next day there are tonnes of these small larvae bobbing everywhere!! do you know what they might be?
Carefull! Those could very well be mosquito larvae!!! They'll hatch in no time so get some feeder guppies in that enclosure or something else that will eat them quick! lol
Theres a huge puddle(pond) next to my house in a nearby field,i went there with a bag with supplies and stuff,i found alot of cool aquatic stuff! i have lots of small aquatic beetles i cought today, there really interesting! thanks for the advice!
i have an aquarium too and i transformed it into a mini-pond. i have water scorpions (Nepa cinerea) and theyre great, they are top of the food chain, they ate my tadpoles, dragonfly larva, all my small fish even smaller water scorpions! they are my favourite water insects.
Thanks! I'm sure you have insects where you live! Just go check out a pond and bring a net. moves through the clump of silt and plants after you sweep the net in and I'm sure you'll find most of the animals in this video! :)
Thanks for the information!! we do get acouple of different kinds of frogs here,so i was thinking of catching a frog, beacuse i love frogs..ive had an obbsession with them ever since i was like 4 when my dad brought one home from work..lol
Thanks, ya its a real priviledge... :) Lucky me my parents don't mind... Keep trying, and show your parents that your responsible and that you can support the animal on your own. They'll give in... :)

Do you know all of your female guppies are pregnant.
I love them, I breed them since I was 7.
And by the way I think the funny worms are tubifex, if you put them in the fishtank they will eat it.
