I'm the only one in my family that doesn't have an addiction with drugs and alchohal, it's kind of opposite from what the adressed issue is, and im not really sure what to do... (I'm 18 by the way)
@psylowade I tried AA for a year (bad results), then SMARTRecovery (good results that keep getting better.) Their website (.org) has meetings online and chat, and lists face-to-face meetings.
When I left rehab, the first thing I did was to work at a temp place to earn money to go back to school so I could learn a marketable skill. I purposely declined the opportunity to go on disability because I thought that it would only delay my recovery if I took the soft road to dependency. Life is stressful and you learn to cope by dealing with life - not by building a protective bubble around yourself. I have always been a bit highstrung and I always will be, but I don't have t drink over it.
