It's a mistake to have an 8yr old to use a 9mm SMG, the reason he died was from the recoil and non-proper stance and no supervision on the kid to support him like putting your hand behind his back to absorb and steady the recoil and aim.

The brass shell casings are expensive and can be re-loaded. That's why the term "Pick up your brass" is used. I think expended cannon shells are used to make the medals our soldiers wear, but I'm not sure. Re-loading can be touchy, some people won't do it. But yeah, how much money can you get for expended shells?

@BBpests Empty shell casings are mostly brass and some are weird steel like WOLF. There are a lot of types of brass but I believe shell casings are like 30% zinc and the rest is copper. I believe if you have a big enough quantity you could scrap em but I am not sure if scrappers are wary of the live round that might in the mix.
