  • This song means a lot to me, I was on christian teen camp retreat in the middle of a seclulded camp, very cold out and we had to walk from place to place :). It was an awesome experience with the most fun i've had but also amazing sessions. we song this song there and it changed my heart, this song is so touching and amazing and speaks the truth, oh Lord change my sinfull heart! also Jars Of Clay brings back amazing memories <3

  • @kenzeda Thank you for sharing your testimony.

  • One of my favorite songs. Looks like some of this was shot in Houston....at least the waterwall. Cool. :)

  • @Catherine342 Thanks for commenting.

  • Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it,

    Prone to leave the God I love;

Here’s my heart, O take and seal it,

Seal it for Thy courts above!!!

I love this bit the most. It's me right there.

  • @africanbrotha1 It's good. Thanks for commenting.

  • @africanbrotha1 Yeah, i think that's the climax for most of us alright! :)

  • @africanbrotha1 great lyrics

  • It was almost summer, and my whole town usually goes to the pool EVERY day of summer. I went to the pool the weekend before school was out, and honestly, I almost "left the Lord I love". I felt like I was content at the pool with all my friends and ladies walking around. But come Tuesday it was K-life, ( A church like group for teens) and they played this song and that verse hit that the bigjc mentioned. Helped me realize what was happening and catch my mistake. I grew that summer. Praise God!

  • @MinorCheese777 Praise God, indeed! Thanks for commenting.

  • Let thy goodness, like a fetter, bind my wandering heart to Thee. This is my prayer

  • @DannyMac100 Thank you for commenting. It's a good prayer.

  • Beautiful song. Thanks for posting.

  • @msljyoung You're welcome.

  • This song is so powerful for me. When we sang it at services, I wept. I have a copy of the lyrics on my desk at work. A beautiful song.

  • @odiousj Thank you for commenting. I agree. It is beautiful.

  • If it wasn't for this song I wouldn't be where I am today. I almost left the God I love, just like that one verse stated. Prone to wonder, Lord I feel it, prone to leave the God I love.

  • @thebigjc37 Thank you for testifying for the God you love.

  • @thebigjc37

Thank God for this song :)

  • Thank You JESUS for sheding your BLOOD for a sinner like me.

  • @rmsamuels Amen.

  • @rmsamuels Jesus went to the cross not for anything he as done but for my sins.

  • 8 people need to feel the love of Christ

  • @dtimmyo Love in the name of Jesus. Be His feet on the ground. More than 8 people will then feel the love of Christ.

  • @beanscot That was a very good comment!

  • @akkalove1 Thank you. As it has been said, we live for Him who died for us.

  • @sparkel0079 Thanks for commenting. : )

  • AAAAAHHHHHHHHHH just love this song...its amazing...every thought or moment I have had....

  • Love this. Just wish there was less of the whitey Jesus images (and I'm a whitey).

  • I wish they sang the 2nd verse. That's probably my favorite. I love the Supertones version just because they have the 2nd verse in there.

  • @Bassplayer427 Yes, the second verse is wonderful. Thank you for suggesting another version.

  • Wikipedia has a nice article on the history of this song and it's MANY different versions.

  • @quiltndeb Thank you. I just read the wikipedia reference.

  • WHY LEAVE OUT THE MAIN WORDS? THE BLOOD IS LEFT OUT AND ALSO JESUS' NAME IS LEFT OUT!

  • @candy7600canHere I raise mine Ebenezer; hither by thy help I'm come; and I hope, by thy good pleasure, safely to arrive at home. Jesus sought me when a stranger, wandering from the fold of God; he, to rescue me from danger, interposed his precious blood.

  • @beanscot

I know its in the original words but wywould these grous and choirs skip the evrse with Jesus' name? even the mormon choir leaves it out. and i stll cant hear it in this version. here must e a reason why it is no longr there. why would any nremove the name of Jesus?

  • @candy7600can I wouldn't read too much into it. It may be because the word Ebenezer can cause so much confusion, since most people associate it with the character of Ebenezer Scrooge. I believe it is still clear from the verses that they do sing that the song is about Jesus. Yes, His name and His blood is precious.

  • @candy7600can Mormon Tabernacle doesn't leave it out. I think it's the third verse when they say "Jesus sought me when a stranger" which is in correlation with one of the most commonly used lyrical versions of the song.

  • Mooi lied en prachtig gezongen!

  • kind of zoomed in on alot of pictures ehh? good song though. thank you for posting it, i can't find another version like this on youtube.

  • @MidgetMadness0 I know what you mean. . . It was one of the first videos I made. Do I get a learning curve? : ) I'm glad you like the song.

  • You're welcome!

  • this song makes me cry every time. It reminds me of the greatest day of my life, the day I gave my heart and soul over to my Jesus.

  • Thanks for sharing your testimony.

  • Why would I not follow One who claims such authority! Now other religion can claim that and no other religion gives grace that was given to us by One who gave His life for us! Religion produces bondage because of works.

  • Tune my heart to sing thy grace

  • Amen and Amen.

  • i love this song,it reminds me of my mission...we sung this in conferences.

  • 1:05 is so pretty. Where is it?

  • Yes that is pretty. I'm not sure where it is though. I found that picture on photobucket. Thanks for asking!

  • It's great to know that these great hymns of the faith still live on. This proves that God is eternal, because anything else will just fade away if not based on what His precious son Christ Jesus did for us at Calvary!!!

  • Yes, He did!

  • Cause that's what every one of his disciples did. Why else would they die for their beliefs unless they were absolutely convinced that they were true? I can't get over that. and thus, christian I am.

  • Comment removed

  • Take this for what it's worth, but i believe in truth. truth which isn't relative. I find this truth in christianity, but if truth was in a different religion i would believe in that. And as for fearing death, i would rather have hope than fear, and heaven is a free gift not something to be worked for. i'm not trying to shove religion down anyone's throat... i think that is one of the most UN-christian-like things a christian can do. but have you ever believed in something you would die for?

  • this is a great song a great worship song

  • So I sat at my computer this morning and I searched the lyrics and piano chords for this song. I got it and started singing it to myself with no piano and I broke down and cried.
