If you actually read the email around 1:10 it seems like the reason that he didn't make an immediate correction is because he still believed that he was correct. I can't see the contents of the messages that followed, but I don't think you can judge whether it was an immediate correct from any point in time other than when he first realizes that he was wrong, which likely wasn't immediately after seeing your video. And was your concern really just whether he corrected himself "immediately"?

In Spain we have public health care and there are private clinics and hospitals as well. If you have the money and wish to have a private business take care of your health problems, go for it! Pointing out a second, easily discovered and more profound poll on doctors' posture towards reform does make one wonder if a channel upon which many viewers unquestionably invest trust does indeed live up to the expectations. I consider lackluster research a dishonesty of sorts: a willful ignorance. if such practice was the the disposition of, say, a doctor, would I dismiss such a bent as irrelevant? Not with so much at stake. "Trust me" doesn't always cut it.

Physicians supporting the public option and considering quitting if it is implemented are not mutually exclusive. Once the option is implemented, you will need several doctors to man various sectors of this new bureaucracy. They can command what salary they would be paid or consider quitting. New doctors take time to train, meanwhile leaving the system under staffed, unless demands are met. Just like the teachers union. You will end up with lower quality and higher price.

I have to admit that HTWW is a pretty good debater, but there was always something about him that bothered me.
For one thing, he comes off as being a prick blabbing on about his ideas and how they are the true and only ideas people should be given.
He also claims to be explaining what the real experts aren't saying, yet if you view his videos with an open mind, you'd realize that much, if not all, of what he's saying is purely opinion.

I would dispute that claim. Your assesment of the "liberal way" seems generally accurate. However, I must say the "conservative way" is more, "stop, conclude doing anything is negative, and continue remaining stopped."

I do know one doctor, a neurologist, who quit a few years ago because of his deep disappointment with HMOs. But he was able to increase his income in the computer field.
So I suspect some doctors will quit. However, if we manage to institute public health care which is intelligent, fair, and properly managed, we may find a great majority of doctors preferring it over the previous system.

In Spain we have public health care and there are private clinics and hospitals as well. If you have the money and wish to have a private business take care of your health problems, go for it! I have the feeling that this country will have a great plan. One reason is because we are not the pioneers this time. We can learn from the mistakes and successes of other countries' plans. My main fear is that some will take advantage of Obama's inclusive approach and push for compromises which will weaken the plan, in an attempt to sabotage it.

Pointing out a second, easily discovered and more profound poll on doctors' posture towards reform does make one wonder if a channel upon which many viewers unquestionably invest trust does indeed live up to the expectations. I consider lackluster research a dishonesty of sorts: a willful ignorance. if such practice was the the disposition of, say, a doctor, would I dismiss such a bent as irrelevant? Not with so much at stake. "Trust me" doesn't always cut it.

I have been watching insidetrip101 who makes a valid point. Why not spend more time pointing to the discrepancy in Lee's argument rather than attacking his character? My problem is that we are not dealing with the realm of science any more. Both sides are willing to twist and bend the truth to fulfill their political agenda. Smearing the opponent seems to have taken precedent over deconstructing their argument. Truth is the casualty. This is dangerous. No one can trust each other at this rate.

Physicians supporting the public option and considering quitting if it is implemented are not mutually exclusive. Once the option is implemented, you will need several doctors to man various sectors of this new bureaucracy. They can command what salary they would be paid or consider quitting. New doctors take time to train, meanwhile leaving the system under staffed, unless demands are met. Just like the teachers union. You will end up with lower quality and higher price.

Good vid. You're absolutely right, the survey was still in the works and it wasn't done to scientifically. FOX shoul not have reported it, and Lee shouldn't have used the statistic. While I don't believe social medicine is the best way to reform healthcare, misrepresentation is not the best way to debate it.
