  • here we go it's oztrics YEEHAR!! :)

  • homegrowndave you are a wise man , i agree with you totally , ozrics blew my mind ears and soul many times and they are pure psy ear fuel, have seen gong , hawkwind etc and the ozrics proper nailed it . brits got the best licks , as always :-D they stand head and shoulders above the rest. shroomz any1 ?????????????

  • marvelous pungent effulgent is me fav album by ozric :)

  • Big Sur Moon in the beginning, :-D

  • @errepeerre buckethead is an icon, and an american hero. check out 'the echo song' by paul gilbert, btw.

  • This album got me into art school, and also made an acid casualty out of me. I cant walk in deep woods anymore without the Ozrics. Thanks god ;)

  • The Ozrics are The Ozrics and I like! That is all! :-)

  • fuck, you can walk?

  • takes me back 2 my acid days 20 years ago

  • an this song dissolution clouds in despeir, is the only song that has some lyrics in it out of ozric tentacles albums they ever made

  • still have an array of these oh so colourful cassettes..except i purchased mine through woof distribution if i remember rightly

  • we used to post them blank cassettes which they'd record on and then send back. 20+ odd moon years ago

  • takes me back to camping in the breacons, pissin' it down throughout with a portable cd player, good friends n plenty of the good stuff..oh the joys of youth!!

  • Extraordinary.Wow....I can spell extraordinary.....

  • awesome band , forget all this negative talk , proper music . live awesome , so whats the argumnet !!!! seen hawkwind seen here and now seen ozriks seen daevid allen , all are different yet all superb, yes also gong many times , so fuck off all the bollox about same and rip off , its crap, there all brilliant in their own rights ......................................

  • mmm yummy brings back a night in mm 92 or 3 in Glasgow, barras what a night!!

  • this suck bawls...

  • @ustad66611 then go listen to your mainstream shit then mate.

  • CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED

  • How do 'yall not like Gong? I can't hate one band just because I like another..... crazy.

  • a great band a great tune

  • amazing intro

  • Mmmmm. I like.

  • Thanks to all who responded to my (negatively received) comment. I did explain I was "trolling" to get a discussion going. Seriously, I do like Ozrics ! Luv 2 all lovers of proper muzic. Peace.

  • everyone has to have a pop at anyband if they sound similar or are influenced or tread just over an invisible line where people have to say no!hawkwind ,gong, etc were here first they are therefore crap, anyone who says these are crap need there ears testing,i liked hawkwind before these but have yet another band to admire and enjoy to the list of others

  • @homegrowndave that is also how am seeing things :)

  • @homegrowndave right one

  • @homegrowndave Takes me back to Brixton Fridge, 90 just love these guys. seen many times since. influences yes but they are unique. I have danced like a madman to these tunes and sat and listened. Truly a quality outfit

  • @homegrowndave I really wouldn't say this seems a lot like hawkwind or gong... I mean I hear the influence but the sound still comes across as totally unique. If you want a more direct rip off of Gong check out Acid Mothers Temple

  • @somekindofpie ,i was just trying to say at that moment it seemed everybody was saying there a rip off of hawkwind and so therefore crap.i agree there sound is unique but maybe put in the "psychedelic rock"bracket.i saw hawkwind first at 15,im 39 now and my "friend" who stayed with me took all my albums when he left,i was bored with hawkwind then and just had a couple of old tapes.i actually do prefer ozrics, there use of beat syncopation(not sure right word)not fond of reggae ones but thats me

  • !!!!S I M P L Y F A N T A S T I C!!!!

  • this language is universal

  • To rip off, one needs to follow...

  • naooow.

  • TITS OR GTFO

  • f***ing rock n roll!

  • @uberkernow this band isnt a real rock band but it does have elements of rock in thier music. Still I love this ozric tentacles band an always liked em ever sense 1990s when I was a teen listening too em cuze my father also like the ozric's too.

I also discovered Hawkind, Steve Hillage, gong and porcupine tree because of this band.

Gong & Porcupine Tree is shittie but I like the space rock band that steve hillage did. an Hawkwind is a good band too.

  • I first heard the Ozrics when I was at uni and a fair old user of the the Jamaican Woodbines. Great stuff, takes me back to some great high old times. Such imaginative music and great musicianship too.

  • Like this if you want to put on a pair of boxing gloves and start shadow boxing when you listen to this song

  • i think this is probably one of the greatest intros to any track i have ever heard and at 49 ive heard many.

  • Ozric Tentacles r the best!! I dont see how they relate too hawkind an porcupine tree? because pt an hawkwind sounds like regular rock music, nothing special about them. Some of hawkwind an porcupine tree sounds like ozric tentacles, but some isnt enuff.

An if anything Steve Hillage is more like ozric tentacles than porcupine tree/hawkwind,

I tried getting myself into gong but could because they sound too weird too me.

An I think that steve hillage is better than gong, even though he..

  • @MrPsa19 even though steve hillage is from gong, be he done a better job solo on his own after the gong band.

  • very Steve Hillage style guitar here. But whats wrong with that? Thanks for giving me the chance to hear this. Next stop, some "shpongle" to relax my head for the night.

  • @59supercool steve hillage is good but I still like Ozric Tentacles alot better an I would've never knew about hillage if it wasnt for ozric tentacles, same with hawkind an porcupine tree.

  • they are also influenced by "Yes" and king crimson, there is an album called "yes songs " by yes (as in erp songs) with an ozricy sort of cover and elephant talk by king crimson has elements that seem very similar to kick muck

  • ozric que musica....no necesito ni siquiera un caño,su musica basta.

  • Awesome the Ozric's are have seen them Live last month ...

  • this is the first ozric song I've ever heard and it changed my life.

  • every 1 get high on ur trips..woooooooowww.

  • i think the gong first discovered this sound and they are master in that but i think also everybody can trivelling in this amazing tripp so if Gong open the gate to the planets why dont travelling there I think they agree with that and be huppy

  • my first tattoo came from the back cover of this album! :)

  • I love this band :D

  • No band sounds like Ozric Tentacles.

  • come sempre magic........

  • i love how it builds up and gets so intense

  • what an amazing song

  • Don't get me wrong with the last comment .. I basically love everyone but yargh what have we become, Great song, use a condom thanks! Muchos love

  • Devolution...

Ya really that is what I am witnessing with the apes around.

  • I so love this part in the beginning where more and more tention is build up til it seems to EXPLODE ! Like an ADS-kid bound to a seat in a waiting room and then finally gets free to be on a total rampage ! :D

  • As wild as you like! Fantastic stuff.

  • @Jimlead c.i.a. drug dude ;)

  • you are right, gong, hawkwind, tengarine dream are here, but the sound is good so thanks for posting

  • I've just discovered the 'stats' function for who's viewing this stuff. I love the fact that outside the UK, Ozrics is apparently hugely popular in Finland and Italy.

  • @rorshak73 yo! im from finland, i wouldnt say its hugely popular but yet, it just awesome. makes you feel narcotic

  • @Gambler4ever Yeah, and you guys invented the Moomins and are feared by the Russians for your ability to consume vodka by the crate without falling on your arses - it all makes sense :-))

  • @ExtraVectis

They are definitely strongly influenced by gong and hawkwind. In my opinion , they are not ripping off ideas for they have always claimed being influenced by them.

I prefer Gong and Hawkwind for the storylines, lyrics, mythology and the way they succeed mixing it with jazz , rock , psychedelia and mantra.

Ozric did trippy albums without second degree but still trippy :)

  • @madkrull STFU M8! 30 years of making music travelling!! fuck gong!! ozric the real thing.....awesome psy rock music max respect for the vibez they are pusshing!!

    respect from italy

  • @RickyBoyTHC And that was with respect???lol

  • @madkrull oh yeahhhh xxxDDD

  • @RickyBoyTHC ozric tentacles for life

  • @RickyBoyTHC but even though I like Hawkwind, Porcupine Tree, Steve Hillage band, Gong, but I still think Ozric Tentacles are #1 in my book.

  • and I never even knew that hawkind, hillage, gong and porcupine tree existed if it werent for ozric tentacles fans that I chit chatted with a few years ago on pc.

  • @madkrull

    They are nothing like gong........

  • @madkrull I like the ozric tentacles the best but I also like Hawkwind and Steve Hillage albums too like fish rising, L, etc.

I dont like gong much because I cant seem too get into it, its just really weird music thats all.

  • @MrPsa19 if you are struggling, listen to the "you" album 1st, its the most instrumental, followed by flying teapot (part 1), you should get into both of those fairly easily.

  • @lynus111 I just gave gong a 2nd chance an yes its a good band but that coment I posted was 4 months ago an I had listened too more gong sense then an actually like it.

I also like listening too porcupine tree too

  • @MrPsa19 cool

  • @ExtraVectis I think that Ozric brought it far more than Gong and Hawkwind could. It is the natural continuous of things mate ...

  • @ExtraVectis does it matter really. Good music is good music, full stop.

  • Comment removed

  • @ExtraVectis

They have their own unique sound,

so different to any of those you mentioned apart from maybe Gong :P

  • @ExtraVectis Nah...Ozrics are their own thing,Gong and Hawkwind are their own thing. You just dont understand the vibe...sir.

  • @sysrq120 I agree that the band ozric tentacles are their own thing.

  • @ExtraVectis Human consciousness like INTERNET, many ideas waiting for one to be discover. To bad they're already found by another.

  • @ExtraVectis R you on drugs? Drugs are bad, mmm kay

  • This song is absolutely amazing.

  • Psychedelic mindfreakin' great Stuff!

  • I remember when I had this on Vinyl - can't remember what happened to it :(

Going to have to see it's available on CD!

  • i d forgoton how good this band wazzzzzzzzzz

  • Whoever posted this.. I love you.... ya really

Beyond epic... pardon me while I create a spaceship

  • go on, give us the lyrics. aaahhhh.....

  • Ozric Tentacles FTW. The most epic intro in the history of muzzzzzzzzzzak....

  • 100% with ya on that one. Love the delay, and the drumsss, ahhh. Ozric Tentacles and Jean Luc Ponty are the starters to all jam bands just about. Gotta love em.

  • this song is epic

  • Wow I just love this band!

  • More genius. I am yet again blown away by a beautiful and mysterious sound.

  • and now a spifff....

  • @neebilu . . . . . light it! . .fuck you put way too much tobacco in this one bro...

  • @neebilu feel the acid flow

  • cool,innit ?

  • now heres something good, they took me to so many innerspace destinations thru the 1990s, pure visionary genius

  • im in grade 12 and I first started smoking weed in grade 6 xD

but I dont think TOOL gets their inspiration from this, I think its more like..

..the third eye, bill hicks, acid trips, science, faith, spiritual journies through eternal plains of energy

  • @danzig5 definitely 3rd eye music Tool is purely Pineal Gland Awakening and 3rd Eye inspired. There is sooo much music out there, it can be said everyone is making something from some one else nearly.

We strive for that incredible originality, Tool and Orzic incidentally have a vast relation. But Tools lyrics sets it apart greatly and Orzic defines there lyrics through visual plectrums and odyssey's for those who are shrooming :3

Tool is Acid and Intellect mind expansion themes

    T.P.W.

  • @danzig5 Your're probably right about Bill Hicks.

  • lovely.. 1990...Plumstead... E18 .. Wickham Lane .... Connan the Barbarians... Ottis and the greatest ganga....... well that's a bit of an exaggeration. Hey and let's not forget Biscuit the spear chucking lunatic

  • Doesn't get much better than this!

  • @unknownloader Absolutely

  • ésta es de las primeras canciones que escuché de ésta banda inglesa, el comienzo de la canción es increíble, impresionante, y despues nos llevan a una aventura espacial fenomenal, gigantes!

  • blimey, so this is where TOOL get inspiration from

  • this song kicked ass!

  • This is their best track.

  • have been smoking pot that long omg

  • i have been somking for 4 years now, it changed my life...

  • muy buenos¡¡¡¡.....este es el rock espacial.saludos desde santiago de chile

  • At age 29 I've just found this stuff. Thanks youtube. Always grown up around FSOL(older bro) and never thought to try OT

  • maybe you have not heard of these psychedlic prog rock bands----Gong, Magma, Melting Euphoria, Eat Static, Sphongle, Aphrodities Child, Lisa Gerrard, Steve Tibbetts, Stomu Yamashta, Kazumi Watanabe, Steffi Sharpstrings, System 7.

  • Eat Static are ozrics in disguise :) Props for mentioning System 7 though. Will check the Japanese ones, just for you :D

  • i aint heard this for 15 yrs....fookin beltin!!!

  • Wow, this is the first song by them I've heard with vocals...

  • This is incredible!

  • I was fully schizophrenic when I listened to the lyrics and what an inspiration it was like hearing the gods. I was there in 1985 on the bluff with the mushroom maniacs when you first got together. Remember the flatbed truck jam near the line bender

  • Wow. The intro reminds me of Chrono Trigger.

  • reminds me of travellers sites, free festivals and the end of an era an amazing time with an amazing soundtrack. much missed.

  • Best song I've heard by them so far.

  • eille la niaise pas sti criss c bon ozric

  • Love this track, heard it over 10 years ago and still listen with fresh ears. Guitar tutor and all round virtuoso Paul Gilbert teaches such techniques today, (watch?v=Zgy2SFUP84c)
