  • PLEASE more mixes like this one and whiter shade of pale. Their are phenomenal!!!

  • So wenig aufrufe hier...

    das is traurig !!!

  • Great song. New one is a little too modern lol. The Monkees are an inspiration to everyone.

  • my daddy was 17 then... lol..

    now he's about 54 or something..:P

  • it happens

    watt kin eye saaaaaaaaaa

  • sorry, i don't get what "watt kin eye saaaaaaaaaa" means...

  • It Means What[watt] Can[Kin] I[Eye] Say[saaa]

  • lol, i see... thnx..

  • if you want to get technical watt is pronounced wa-t. a watt is how they measure the brightness of a lightbulb. for example, a 75 watt lightbulb is brighter than a 25 watt one. really a 25 watt lightbulb is quite dim.

  • Im sorry but what?

  • You said watt kin eye saaa and I said watt is pronounced like the wat part in water. So you made a pronunciation mistake on that one.

  • good one dxgirl. lol

    eh watt?

and thanks for explaining to avestair re the wattage

    very kind of you

    ttfn

  • Well produced song. Love the voices.

  • AWSOME

  • thanks for uploading a good sound quality

  • Wow, this is really hippy, especially with the tambourines in it and surfer thing. Wow, if this is the orginal, then smash mouth didn't change nearly anything to theirs.

  • Sounds like the original, but I don't think it is. Good sound, though!

  • not the original, Leonard skinard actually wrote it but never recorded it, big mistake

  • Neil Diamond wrote it.

  • my mistake, I'd been up for like 30 hours when I wrote the comment

  • man it has great sound quality!

    good job

  • classic.

  • Do you want me to transcribe it?

Unbelievable ... But I'm a believer of course!

    Thanx 4 posting

  • Quality is great, thanks

  • the best of the monkees....

  • wow!!great!and this quality are really good!!

  • The opening organ sound is just beautiful...

The only "modern" instrument that can really reproduce this sound, is the Roland MKS-30 analog synthesizer! The song is 42 years old,

    and the MKS 24 years...

  • yes i agreee :)

  • the quality it is unreal great ..... even though I was only about 6 or I still remember some of the episodes, im only 20 now lol, wot a great song

  • the quality of sound is perfect. Thanks for posting....

  • One of the all-time good feeling songs. You know things are bad today when a created for television band from the 60's sounds better than most of this decades artists.

  • Wow, I'd never heard audio quality like that through Youtube before.

  • wow the sound quality so good!

  • Great song !!

  • Great work!!!!

  • when i was little i would listen to this music all the time...the tv show was so funny

  • cutting what off?

  • I believe Hal Blaine was on drums and the others from the "Wrecking Crew" - they were doing all the sessions back then - Hal even played drums on most of the Carpenter's records - the list is long - check it out online - Beach Boys sessions, etc...

  • oh my god incredible sound quality!!!

  • Yup! Kudos to the engineers. A crystal clear recording; no clipping, great, warm tube & tape tone, very detailed vocals without being to forward in the mix; everything is balanced just perfect. Drums are a little squeezed, but that was the sound everyone was after back in the day.

I'd love to hear a full-res version... on vinyl of course. :-)

  • Davy is Cute! This song is great!!!!!

  • only true in fairytales..

  • And then I saw her face...

And now Im a believer! (etc...)

  • This is stereo and very high quality sound!

    Thank you for posting this.

  • epic song !

1966 it was recorded and it still holds up !

    great song ! :)

  • woww!!!

    very gooddddddddd!!!!!!!!!!

  • Really good. Wish they'd have had a bit more bass to it tho. The only thing I can find as clear as this, is Paul Shanklin's parody of this song with President William Jefferson Blythe Clinton singing "I'm a Bush Leaguer"

Both of these are very good with the mandolin.

Shanklin is a master at what he does. Check out his hits, he does everybody from the left to the right.

Most of them you'll hear on Rush Limbaugh's # 1 rated Talk radio show in the USA. Shanklin has his own site and he is on Utube.

  • by the way my sons are only little

  • love this and daydream believer classics wish theyd make em like this again i jump round the room with my 3 sons to this song we look maddddddddddddddddddd

  • This is a raw verson.. Micky rocked on this one.. He is a singer in his soul... Rock on!

  • sweeeeeeeet, fun just plain fun im 55 and so what , it is true they dont make em like they use to, im still a beliver.........

  • fantastic sound, thx

  • Brill sound quality. Can't believe this song is 42 years old! A Bloddy mazing

  • Always liked the Monkees sound. Trouble was, my kid sister had the hots for them in the 60s and I was 10 years older than her so I never dared admit it then ! So old now I don't care what anyone thinks ...

    Good quality track. Thanks.

  • great song! amazing quality!

  • dude this has excellent sound

  • Yeah, this video has fantastic sound. Great song too!

  • God, I forgot just how much ass The Monkees kick. Cause of advance orders over a million, the album went gold within TWO DAYS of its release, this song was that awesome.

  • I think "I'm A Believer" sold 12 million copies in the US and made Neil Diamond a star.

  • great sound!!! ;D

  • superb sound excellent!!!!!!!!!

  • Groovy

  • This song came out the same year i was born (1966), Garfieldcat5 if you where the one who converted this song into hd stereo you should go pro!!

    It just sounds that good!!!

  • Mickey is the Jerry Lewis of rock and roll!

  • Seems the more I gave the less I got?? Then I saw her face!!

  • GREAT

  • the monkees rock! :D great sound quality and everbody think this is from shrek IT'S NOT they redid the song. i prefer the origional. ;D

  • same

  • same here

  • I love this song

  • I like the song and the detailed info in garfieldcat's description. Well done.

  • Hell yeah man. Im tired of everybody shitting on the monkey's. Micky's a great vocalist for real. That's fucked up that they're not. Instead, they're probably gonna put Amy Crackhouse in there.

  • it's the monkees you spelled it wrong but it's kinda confusing isn't it? :)

  • lol yeah..either way they're great...

  • I love 80's/70's music but I have to admit that back in the 60's, really good musics were created...

  • wow, where did you get it in this quality?:O

love the song, even though i'm more of 2000/2008 music fan, i also love this kind of music!

    thanks for posting!!

  • very high

  • How can you upload in HD or in this case HD stereo..I want to know.

  • I quess I did have this record!!!!!

  • Song of Neil Diamond. Neil sings it sometimes in concert, but this version I regard the best. Thanks for posting it!

  • Johan, this version is outstanding, especially Mickey's voice, and that organ; but the studio recording that Neil Diamond did of this song is Out-a-Sight! Neil's version is a bit more raw musically, and then there's that Diamond voice(when he was young)that just Rocks.

  • Its good quality, but personally I prefer the crackle of it normally, and how the sounds is slightly distorted when they sing in unison. It adds a sense of...style

  • very good quality!Thank you very much for posting this

  • Excelente! Até o Lulu Santos gravou uma versão.

  • one of the best music

  • The fadeout is longer than the original vinyl.

  • I'll never say "oldies" are the best music, but yeah - there's more awesome music between 1950 and 1990 than between 2000 and 2008 - well, no shit sherlock <.< Either way this is a great song, though I can't blame Smash Mouth for doing it differently.

  • i did NOT like the smash mouth version, but this versioun is awesome!

  • just great.. i love it

  • I agree, Oldies are the best music!! Todays music is more like noise.

  • Wow,..what audio!!! Excellent HD sound!!!

  • Classic Song!!! The Monkeys Rock!!! Great 60's Band!!!

  • good quality:)

  • ahhh i love this song : D

    oldies are the best music

  • much, much, much better than smash mouth

  • WOW!!! Audio is FANTASTIC!!! WAY-OUT!!!

  • Im 16 and i remember watchin the monkees everyday when i was like 4 to 10.....brings back good memories

  • It's even more memorable for us folks in our 50's.

We were in that young teen age phase, 1966/67, when the Monkees came out of no where, had their own top TV show, #1 songs, all the media and mag coverage.

They were MTV at the time, even bigger.

  • Amen

  • You can really hear Peter & Davy in the background. But you can't hear Mike watz up w/ that. thank's garfieldcats5 for this awsome version of the Monkee's song I'm a believer.

  • cool song

  • Love that song. Thanks for loading this.

  • Thanks! This is the only video with good quality of the song.

  • Oh my god this sounds so good!!!! :D

  • The monkeys rulez!

  • I LUV YOU FOR THAT COMMIT.

  • listen to 'I'm looking through you' of the Beatles. You'll certainly hear similarities, especially at the end of both songs.

  • Yes, the Monkees was one of the first fashion-bands, but this song is very good

  • actually they are pretty underated

  • monkees are underated!

  • wow it IS in stereo.

  • God, you're a fucking idiot.

  • great music great times all the years ago

  • Great sound quality! Thank you!

  • dave was english, an ex jockey

  • So? YOUR favorite (obviously must be the Backstreet Boys) doesn't either. BAM!

  • wtf? Backstreet Boys are queers. They most likely don't write their own songs because they're so gay, a girl must have written them.

  • So are you 8 years old? Time for your nap.

  • 8 years old? Wow get some better comebacks please.

  • Oh yeah I forgot if you're gay you obviously won't be good at music...

    wanker

  • Oh thank God I'm not gay or a wanker so I guess I have nothing to worry about.

  • nice! n_n

  • thank you for this song very much!

  • Folks, you cannot understand how good it is to have been born in the sixties!!!

Monkees is just one of the wonders that we could watch on the TV every afternoon... and Lost in Space, Thunderbirds, The Time Tunnel, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Hanna and Barbera Cartoons... I wish I could go back in time to review all these artistic wonders!

  • I'm also a fan, but we must not sugar coat. No, they (with the possible exception of Peter) were not great instrumentalists. They are on record stating that they had to work really hard to even adequately play them instruments, hence long recording sessions.

  • How did you get stereo on youtube ???

  • Love it ;d !
