    As an Olympic lifter do you do cardio or is aqua jogging the only form of cardio you do?

  • I started aqua jogging after 4 knee surgeries. It is a very nice workout, and its as hard as you want to make it. I did intervals the other day worked out so hard i was sick afterwards. thats a good thing

  • Water jogging is AWESOME!! I've just started, and she's right... it may not look like much from outside of the pool, but you absolutely feel it. Water creates resistance on all surface area of the body, and the faster you move, the more resistance you experience. Basically, it's hydraulic exercise, both cardio and strengthening. And it's FUN!!! There is nothing like the feeling of being in water.

  • This kind of training works wonders for race horses - injured and not injured. I am a master swimmer myself and I will bet she gets a hell of a good workout from he aquajogging...

  • will the resistance slow your twitch fibers? I'm a 16 year old shotputter and rely on olympic lifts.
