Phoenix Wright Wouldn't even be a soundboard. IT would be an unplayable mess.

Also, this is nowhere close to Brain Age. Brain age encourages training the brain with simple exercises. Puzzles and brainteasers are far different. And personally, I would have bought it even if it weren't for the story. Gotta love them brainteasers.

Nope. Without the story, the game could still quite easily stand as a good title with the gameplay alone. In a Phoenix Wright game, that would be impossible.

Whether or not the games would sell well if you took away their stories does not determine whether or not they're similar.

The games are similar, because the gameplay is about challenging yourself and thinking, story is an important factor, and they're on DS. You can't just say "WELL WHAT IF ONE DIDN'T HAVE GAMEPLAY AT ALL, GUESS I'M RIGHT!!!!"

I never once mention selling well or not. Also, without story, Phoenix Wright couldn't POSSIBLY challenge you or make you think at all. Story is NOT an important factor to Professor Layton at all.

Also the system they happen to be on? That's not exactly an argument for them being similar games.
