  • damn my crown race is stuck. what can i do to get it off? i don't want to bend it

  • get your hands greasy take off the gloves thats how a true mechanic does it

  • this video did not help at all. I have no idea still how to remove my forks :(

  • steerjob 2:35

  • Nice GT, what model is it?

  • @DrNeur0tic no idea! it wasn't mine, we did name it "devil Bike" as we all crashed on it!

  • @blumpher awww man, i wanted to know the model name, so i could get one, but nvm then. thx anws.

  • Never mind I just spun the front wheel and greased it came off thanks though

  • I have a fork that won't come of not even the washer will come of any advice

  • @vlopezos if you have undone the stem and got that off, just bash the top of the fork steerer with a block of wood and a large hammer and it should come apart. Use plenty of spray oil and it should come apart if you have a go at it.....

  • Great video. The best fork replacement on YouTube. It is amazing that you basically did the job with one hand, since you were also holding the camera:)

  • This is the best clip on changing forks. I just did it earlier and all went well. THANKS!

  • i dont have this crown in the down of ... (my bad english) so i cant put new fork, i tryed one time and frend said i have to buy this. can i buy this for marzocchi dirt jumper 3.. gret video, thank you ;)

  • @pero5pero the crown race is part of your headset so you need to take it off the old fork, or get a new headset...good luck, and thanks for the kind comments.

  • Great video. I've searched and this is the only video I found for this procedure. Yes the filming was a bit shaky but you've given me the confidence to carry this out for myself rather than waste a whole lot of cash at a bike shop. Much appreciated

  • @elementlead1 thanks! it means you have money left over to buy new tarty bits in your bike shop!

  • Thanks

  • Really good. Did the marzoccis come with a star nut or did you put it in? Do you needthe top cap in if the sterrer is to long? If the sterrer is a little to long should i cut itor just put spacers in? Thanx.

  • I repaired the forks, see other videos for the strip. The already had the star nut in place but it just needs a confident whack with a hammer and drift to start it into the fork steerer.I just put spacers on this installation as the fork is not going to stay on this bike. Suggest you play around with the height of the stem until you are happy riding , then cut it just below the top cap and fit any spacers needed underneath. You need the top cap as you can't preload the head bearings without it!

  • need a good camera cant see very well

  • yes, I suppose so...it's only the video mode on my digital camera...

  • @mrl4nda The dude's doing a lot for what u paying... Thanx man
