isnt this the place u showed the jap students when u were guiding them through kuala lumpur??,,,anyway nice vid we really misses yasmin...nice graffiti too did u make them ??lol!
I saw this 3 days ago at Pasar Seni LRT station on my way to KLCC. Thought want to take a pic but didnt bring my camera. This is amazing. Icon for 1Malaysia.
It's really astounding to see how people from different races appreciate her beautiful masterpiece. Wish there are other film makers who are as good as her in Malaysia. I happened to know a French guy who lived in Malaysia before and he (still) loves her work, If others can appreciate her films, Iwonder why some malaysians find it hard to do the same. Too liberal for Malaysian Film Industry? Are you kidding me? What you need? a movie from that so-called Professor? what a joke.
I guess there might be a film maker who is like Yasmin Ahmad one day, but one thing for sure, it would not be as good as her.
It is interesting to see how people from all walks of life, even foreigners who knows what is art and quality; it's just a shame that not everyone shares the same opinion.
But that's life and you cannot make everyone likes you.
Lets hope Yasmin has found a better and peaceful place up there =)
I'm not sure whether you are able to watch Astro channels online.
On that link, it seems that I'm unable to post a comment whenever I pasted a link here. I guess you try typing "Sepet" in the search box and you shall locate them. Good luck! =)
I think I saw Gubra's one the other day. I just tried, but didn't get any results. Anyway, here is the link to Sepet, although its quality isn't the best.
By the way, Astro dedicates a channel (CH 110) for Yasmin Ahmad. You can watch Sepet and Gubra there as well =)
I think the best way would be by getting the CD when you're back to Malaysia. But mind you not all of her movies can be found here, as some are 'banned'. I think you can get them from Singapore.
I'm studying in oversea as well, so I will use my break back to Malaysia this time to try and look for her movies. Thinking to keep them as a collection =)
Another option, which I think is possible would be from Youtube itself. Just type the movie's title and you should be able to watch them, in parts!
al fatihah... 1Malaysia Ikon.

Yeah, this was part of Klang River, near Cultural Market.
People who knows how to appreciate quality works will surely miss her. I'm sure she is in a better place now.

thanks for filming this vid, we'll all miss yasmin but her masterpieces will continue to live on to enlighten us.
it's awesome how somebody (or some people) actually drew such a nice portrait of yasmin to pay tribute to her amongst all the graffiti there!
this video also brings back memories of malaysia, i miss home too (:

I'm glad that you like it.
Lets us continue to spread her messages, although she is no longer with us anymore physically.
I guess it was a group of artistic people who made the drawing.
I think you ought to come back one day soon =)

You make an important point there.
