I understand that Baidu has some redeeming features that could give the site advantages, however this does little prove your point since these features are ones that Google is not allowed to present due to the reputation that it wants to have as a global brand. Google did not pull out of China, they simply shut down their headquarter in Beijing and mobilized their resources to Hong Kong - A Chinese Special Administrative Region that governs themselves under their own charter.
