yea i just sold my 2000 beetle 1.8 turbo with turbo s kit and new heads valves etc the dumb ass that replaced my timing belt didnt change the tin pully and it ate my teeth timing belt bent all my valves cost 2000 to fix make sure you do the timing belt and water pump before 80,000 or else you will hate the little motherfuckers
Curious about your hood, is it carbon fiber and if so who's the manufacturer? I have a 2003 Turbo S that i have been playing with for the last two years. So far with the mods I have done I am just over 300hp and plain on going with an even larger turbo and a 2.0 stroker kit, new Eagle H Beam rods are sitting in the shop just waiting on me. Haven't done anything to the body except new wheels and tires but would like to do some CF parts to lighten it up some.
@unbeetable Hey thanks. I sold mine a few weeks ago. Hated to but I'm going through my third fight with cancer and this one isn't looking so good so most of my toys have been sold off. Just hope the man who bought it takes good care of it and smokes a few Mustangs and Camaros with it. Thanks again.
@blown0883 I had a 98 beetle and I bought it used and had like 78k miles on it, I put another 100k on it before selling. I think all I did was changed the timing belt on it but other than that it ran like a trooper, original clutch too albeit it was starting to slip with so many miles on it and I drove it pretty hard.
i have a 2000 1.8t it has 320 000k and havent had to repair one thing, of course tires and brakes, but change the fluids and these bitches run forever@blown0883
when I first got my beetle. all my friends laughed at me. but your car makes me feel better ;) also the beetle drives wayy smoother than those civics and integras ;P
thx dude. Yes it's a custom carbon fibre hood with air vents. I had water temp issues with the fmic so I threw the a/c out and put the hood on - now temps are fine even on long autobahn drives :-)
