  • WHAT A MAGNIFICENT SONG, SUNG SO BEAUTIFULLY BY MOHD.RAFI. THIS SONG IS BEYOND ANY IMAGINATION OF THE BRIGHT SPARK IT ILLUMINATES OF A BEAUTIFUL LOVE WITH SURAIYA'S PORTRAIT IN THE CENTRE. THE COMPOSITION IS AS GLORIUS BY NAUSHAD SAHIB AS LYRICS ARE BY SHAKEEL BADAYUNI. IT SEEMS LIKE SHAKEEL BADAYUNI HAS TOUCHED THE PEAK OF POETRY WITH THE MAGNIFICENT PORTRAIT OF LOVE HE DRAWS IN THIS POETRY. IT IS A CLASS BY ITSELF.

  • What a wonderful song sung by Mohd Rafi!

  • @kkjb586

    Thanks for rich appreciation.

  • Rafi at his best. Soulfully. Then, the lyrics, the composition. Naushadsab, Shakil and Rafi. Divine composition. Jitne bhi mile rang woh sab bhar diye tujh mein haaye, Ek rang-e wafa aur hai, laoon woh kidhar se...! Iss awaaz, mausiki, shayari kaa hai andaaz-e-baya aur. What is so special when Naushad sang Rafi is, he won't allow Rafi to mimic the voice or style of the actor, Remember Khilauna jaan kar ...? So, the Rafi would be his own self. Passionate, soulful, magical!

  • @manmahajan

Great comments indeed. It is absorbing as the very song itself. You are right. Rafi without gimmics is natural self and highly adorable. Thanks.

  • This song has also been sung by Habib Wali Mohammad (it is on TouTube) who sang it in his unique style. Apparently, Naushad decided to keep the Rafi version. Thanks for the wonderful upload.

  • @JhankarofAnnArbor Yes. I have heard that as well. Though there's no comparison here but that piece also a gem of it's class.

  • @JhankarofAnnArbor

Thanks for the information and appreciation.

  • Just superb! Melodious, wonderful in a matchlessly romantic voice of a perfect hero in our imagination, Rafi sahab's magic! Kudos to Shakeel & Naushad both for creation and composition of this magic!

Thanks for liking and nice comments that cover various good aspects.

  • Sawan(rainy season) had to borrow ghata(cloud having rain) from her julf and bijli(electricity) had to steel tadap(current) from her eyes ----------what a romantic way of describing her beauty.

  • @atulbachheti

Sincere comments coming from the heart. Thanks. I too like it very much.

  • @atulbachheti GOD's voice? Very appropriate comment, I like it. There will never be another Rafi.

  • A 1

  • @apoorvabhatt60

    Thanks.

  • Please do not even compare these 2 songs; this song by Naushad is a real gem, a real classic; the one by Talat Mahmud is just another routine song - arooj

  • @AapKiFarmaish

    Thanks for the appreciation.

  • This gazal by Mohd. Rafi is much better than Talat's even though the other gazal became more popular. But this one is a master piece.

  • @rajahuja1111

    Absolutely right. Thanks.

  • A masterpiece

  • Thanks.

  • Thank You very much for posting this forgotten Rafi Classic! Talat Mehmood's Baradari song became more famous but Rafi Saab's rendering of this version of "Tasveer Banata Hoon" has its own signature charm

  • Thanks.
