I generally pronounce it "oo-boon-too". But pronunciation doesn't really matter. By the way, I spy a seal over the webcam...I know it's there because mine has one :D
Did you use this at all with the OS it came loaded with? I played around with it in Best Buy today and it seemed pretty easy. Mostly I'd like to get it to do my writing with. Obviously the size is attractive as it's easier to transport. I want to be able to surf the web, check email, maybe listen to music and watch videos, but nothing too extravagant. Think this is a good choice? Thanks!
I did mess around with Xandros for awhile. As long as you dont want to tinker with your OS a lot and get down to the nitty gritty of things, it'll be fine.
The onlyconcern I would have with you getting the Eee is the keyboard size. If you plan on writing a lot, check ou HP's Mini. It has a nearly full size keyboard that'll making typing a breeze. The trade off is its bigger and more expensive.
hi. my mom wants some backup information on this notebook cause she is thinkin of buyin this for me for xmas. how fast does it run? is the screen good quality, how can i hook it up to the internet. you know all of that jazz. and how big are one of the keys on the keyboard?
Its a netbook, so you arent gonna get anything really fast. Netbooks are great for surfing the web, creating office documents, and other light productivity work, but not much else. The screen is 1024 x 600 resolution, which is a good pixel density for its size, but less then a standard notebook. Most web pages will dispaly fine though. It connects to the net either through the included 10/100 Ethernet port, or the built in wireless b/g card. The keyboard is small, but usable.
hi...i really need someone to know to answer and asap if he can...im in the middle of taking Eee 900A or Eee901 or Acer Aspine One...someone can help me choose the rite one i want it for games or surfing in the net pls someone help me to choose and if someone know the price of each psl help me
You definitely don't want the Aspire. The Aspire can't be upgraded, so you wont be able to swap out the hard drive or RAM without disassembling the whole machine and voiding your warranty.
Neither of the Eee PCs you mentioned are ideal either. The slow SSDs aren't good for intensive applications, and since they use a PCI-e interface, they can't be swapped out for a hard drive. Your best bet is the 900HA or the 1000H, both have upgradable hard drives, and can accept up to 2 GB of RAM
Yea the Solid State Disk is 4 GB. A solid state disk (or SSD) is a type of storage drive that uses flash memory as opposed to a spinning platter used by standard hard drives. The lack of moving parts on an SSD allows it to be far more resistant to damage, but the tradeoff is that its more expensive per GB (hence the small size) and that cheper SSDs, like the one in the Eee, are slower then hard drives
Great video... i'm wanting a laptop and i would get this one if it was more like $200 because $280-300 is too close to a normal laptop's price... i think i'll just save a lil' longer and get a regular one... Thanks for the videos i watched both of them entirely... keep making more i enjoy all your videos...
Yea I definietly wouldnt reccomend an Eee if its your only computer. These are best as travel laptops for when you dont have to (or just dont feel like) putting your larger investment at risk.
