  • what scene in SAW 3D is this played at?

  • one person just got their ass kicked by pressing the dislike button..

  • OMFG! Yea they're talent is superb. The band as a whole is nasty. Can't compete. Eat shit die slow

  • you know what.............................

    fuck American music

and fuck American Top40 rubbish music

    compared to this song.

    This. is. Art.

  • i cannot stress how muc i love this fucking band!!! no matter how their songs may "evolve", i will always love them. good luck in the many, many years to come, dir en grey ^_^

  • to my fellow music lovers of all kinds.

we share one common goal, to see our bands be placed among the top charts. wether it be metal, j-rock, jazz, rock, punk, indie, or classical, there is one common enemy between us. Pop. there is also one person who stands in our way. Justin beiber. if you want to give everyone a fair chance at reaching their dreams of fame and fortune, then be at justin beiber- baby and post your favorite band's name/ why they are better than him on july 24th. copy / paste

  • @doggytown123 i'm sorry man, but somehow I feel pessimistic these days if this will work.. do you know why?..because lots of people are idiots. that's why. especially i'm talking about the teenage-chicks nowadays, they're brainless idiots (well not all, but MOST! I'll bet my liver for that!) who only care about image, cute faces, and THAT'S IT! I mean, how else fuckin' trash like Bieber can rake all the CASH and get all that Awards and got played on lame MTV?

    I'm sick just typing this.

  • Fuck yes i totally agree with you Ailess fuck all emo bands!!! Dir En Grey fucking kills all fucking emo bands!!!!! So Don't EVER call Dir En Grey emo!!!!!!

  • @gregy619

Jrock isn't a genre of music

Does the "J" mean it sounds different from rock music in anyway?

  • @KomuriXz it stands for Japanese...

and yes it is look up oshare and visal kei they are the two "under" genres in J-Rock...

But be also aare of that many say J-rockers because they're japanese- rockers...

    did you understand?

  • @GuitarNiimura i know it stands for japanese but yeah

and oshare and visual are realy more of fashion statements that music mucc for example they were considered oshare or something and they were actualy a nu-metal band, they only thing that made them oshare or w/e was there make up, the make up doesn't affect the music genre in anyway.

  • Holy cow, Kyo.... It's so awesome..

  • In case there are people here who actually came to see the video and NOT pointlessly argue about Dir en grey's musical style or what Kyo's real name is, just thought I'd mention you can now see the full version of this PV on Dir en grey's official myspance

  • ohhh please stop arguing how diru play their music...they always create great music thier not americanized...thats how they really play their music they just keep getting and getting better...and please dont attached EMO to them coz they are not cry babies....LOL

  • the only good part of this song was the chorus-being as it was the only part of the song with melody. REALLY, Diru? This is like a joke, right?

they were good before Marrow of a Bone. They disappoint me now.

    *sigh*

as much as it pains me to say this..........they fail

  • @KuriHeartsYou

I agree, it's to bad Dir en Grey lost their edge. At least the old stuff will never lose its sense of originality.

  • dude i love how the song is so fucking aggressive i LOVE IT >D and kyo's vocals seriously fits the song :D i'm juss so proud of them :) they have come such a long way and i will always be there to support them ^___^ VK or no VK it does not matter to me i still love them regardless no matter what :) ^__^ love ya guys >D stay awesome :)

  • What happened to the old video director? There's no way the guy who made Saku made this. It's too much computer animation (done like an amateur) and Kyo's lip barely match the song.

I mean the song is great, but the video isn't very good. The computer animation could have been better (like Glass Skin) and the singing could have matched up (like Vinushka.)

I love Dir en grey to death, but the video director did a pretty bad job,

  • omg! love it! Kyo i love your hair! toshiya you always look super hot!!

  • Ohhh Dir En Grey! Your So Amazing! ~(^w^)~

  • they just keep getting better.

  • even if i miss the old visual kei days, with the very epic outfits and makeup....I can't say that i don't love this.

hell, this is freaking awesome, and who ever thinks that Diru are 'emo'....jesus christ, you will be very unfortunate to meet me in a dark alley.

  • Dir en grey isnt emo..it's not even in the same world as "emo"...its jrock for christ sake..lol

dir en grey kicks the shit outta emo bands like we have in the US sadly >.>

  • @AiLess that's bullshit man you have right in one thing... they aren't emo but Vk?

That was a long time ago, they're metal now get used to it...

  • @AiLess dir en grey is metal

  • @MikyWrita visual kei .. jrock would be like nightmare .. but yeah basically the same thing as metal except you'll piss off a bunch of people by calling it that ..

  • @spyclanhectic i know,right...i mean i said metal because there is a difference between metal and rock, but visual kei and rock its the same thing...

  • @MikyWrita No... Visual Kei is more of a punk/glam rock/heavy metal... It's actually not really a music genre technically, it's the style of the bands playing the music. But once people considered it a genre, those are the aspects it took on.

  • @littlebluepill0 Technically its still rock music, with some other influences.Visual Kei is more of a style than music in general. But yeah i understand what you mean.

  • @littlebluepill0 differentiate their genre based off the concerts they play, not by their videos.. dir en grey is a visual kei band.. this song is metal ish obviously but like you said, people began considering it as a genre and dir en grey qualifies

  • @spyclanhectic No... Visual Kei is more of a punk/glam rock/heavy metal... And Visual Kei is technically NOT a genre, people started associating it as one. It was really about their visual style, not their music.

  • @AiLess They are too good to be called J-rock.

  • Dude how can you call such a great J-Rock band as Dir en Grey by "EMO"

They play anything in every album heavy, pop(in their old indie era or visual-kei), metal ,rock ,expirimental, indie eveything eccept this fuckin shit called emo !! just look up other songs by them you'll see

  • it is call metal..emo is like fall out boy and panic at the disco...Those bands are emo..and they suck DICk Big time... and papa roach is becoming pretty emo these days too.....

  • @YankeeSpike I don't know why you'd ask if they were Emo? I've never heard any of those fagmo bands have a vocalist with a range other than depressing pussy...

  • well, i was told they are a band with a lots of emos as fans, so thats waht i assumed.

  • @YankeeSpike im not emo...

  • ya know i love diru alot!!! i think they can do what ever the hell they want there a fuckin rock n roll band of coarse there not gonna wanna play the same thing over and over and fyi this songs tuning is A Standerd not A # BMTH is cool but bands have been an A for years diru is the best!!!

  • @JapaneseZombieHero13

    It's A#

bands like Korn use A tuning

all the harcore bands use A# and since dir en grey like to fit in with everyone they're using A# too

  • HAaaaaaaAAAAAAAaa!

  • how can you listen to this and think its anything other than pure dir en grey... change and experimentation has been their style since day one. this song, like all of their others, is just another example of how they do whatever they feel like and it comes out awesome. if you dont like it, listen to an older album. they have something for all tastes

  • who cares what they are? Metal, experimental, VK, americanized xD these are just worthless words. Just listen to the music and stop thinking about what genre they are and if they got americanized and so on. This is just fucking stupid...

  • Here here ^_^

  • @ProdigsProductions lol...

  • the best of japanese band and singer is always have their own for everything, style, voice, music.. almost of west group are same..

  • I predicted the style shift since Marrow of a bone, cuz they've been touring with a lot of metal/death core bands... it's only natural for them to see the beauty of breakdowns XD

  • KYO....COOL

  • Dir en grey is all natural without makeup. Kyo looks sexy

  • Greatest Thing I Ever Scene.

  • Oh my goodness, I'm listening to the full song now, amazing. I am so in love with DEG's recent sound, and Kyo's current vocal style. I'll love Diru no matter what kind of music they make in the future, but this is just great. 5/5 stars.

Their new versions of Zan and Shokubeni are awesome too. :]

  • @Sakura738 Care to tell us where you can hear the full song?

Ps I love DIR EN GREY <3

  • I am one of few people who prefer them without the VK image. The people who whine about them dropping it clearly don't care about what the band wanted. I guarentee Kyo would have loathed being stuck doing the same kind of music. No artist wants to be limited.

Besides if you miss the VK thing, there is always old videos and songs. But I like what they are doing now, its interesting.

  • People just get annoyed because they think Diru have been Americanized, which is just bullshit. They seem very serious these days, but that's more to do with how the Japanese usually are. It's better for a band to evolve, than just keep doing the same music. I love every single album they've done, but I agree that metal is more for them. They were always a dark band, but I guess I do miss when their sound wasn't as dark. They'll always write amazing music, no matter what their style and look.

  • @guanjon indeed, they are serious with their music today and it sounds really good. Can't blame them for being tired of playing infront of fangirls everyday for so many years. More moshpits for the people \o/

Also girls don't shiow respect at the concerts, they yell and scream and ruin songs. Guy just listen to the music, moshpit and headbang without ruining for anyone.

  • @tixan Totally agree on everything you said. Let's remember too that visual kei is a trend, so although their music was always real, they are now more 'real' than ever before. And in a non gay way, Kyo comes across as the type of guy who would attract young girls calling him 'cute' or 'chan' (lol) and instead of abusing that and going on gossip magazine interviews, he tore the insides of his cheeks out onstage and spat his blood up so it landed back on his face as a nice big "fuck off" :)

  • @tixan

    Yeah.

I'm a girl myself, but sometimes fangirls get carried away in concerts.

They yell out the lyrics and sometimes You can't even hear the singer.

  • @Mycatjewel I am one that liked them in the VK days, but I am ok with the change and for the most part I agree. That Diru wanted to try something diffrent, you can say that the VK image could be dropped, but you can't say you don't miss it or atleast their old stuff.

  • when is this coming out?

  • the single came out Dec. 2

  • oh yeah but i was wondering about the pv lol

  • i want this pv to be out alrdy

  • i dont know if i like this song or not..... sounds a bit like bring me the horizon

dir toured with them in the uk (sadly i missed them :( ) so thats prob where they got their influence from i think

  • ha ha it doesnt sound like nothing like them

  • RazerbladeKira ---> So how should they sound? They always sounded different in each album.

  • they have stolen bmth's dropped A# guitar tuning. so perhaps they rubbed off on them in some way but this is way better than any bmth stuff

  • @1Nickk1 what do you mean "stole"? a lot of bands use a minor, it doesn't belong to anyone -.-

  • nono. im just suggesting that maybe that influenced them. im not suggesting bmth have some kind of tuning monoply xD

  • :D so you think every band wich guitar tuning is A# is influenced by bmth?? xD bullshit man!

  • no. the fact that they went on fucking tour with them may have influenced them to do something like that is what im saying. I'm not even suggesting thats definitely the reason. Just suggesting it. chill

  • I love the old and new Dir en grey. Doesn't matter to me what they look/soiund like, they rock in general!

  • @HizuPlague That's what I'm talking about!

  • I agree! :D

  • i love it!!

    kyo's the best~

  • its good but dir en grey lost their roots...too much american influence in their music. there's a lot of people, like myself, that want them to return to their visual kei days...

  • What are you talking about? Just because a band has metal or rock influences doesn't meant they have been influenced by American music. I listen to many American bands, and believe me, none of them sound like Dir En Grey. It's two completely different styles. You should be glad they changed their style and don't just play visual kei. It's because of these changes that they became popular and international and now we get to see them play in Europe or Canada.

  • theyre also not so visual kei no more cuz they grew out of it

  • their vk days were pretty good i agree but they were kinda of boring in their albums lik macabre and guaze. dont get me wrong i love dir en grey but those albums werent their best. my fav is uroboros and after that is kigan.

  • @xxXDeme57Xxx2nd IMO Guaze is there best work i don't think they can top that.

  • I don't like Gauze. It's the only album i don't like from them.

I think their best albums are WTD, Kissô and Uroboros. WTD was great too.

  • wow you might be the only person i have ever say WTD is better than gauze

  • Me neither, looking back at they're visual era .. it just lacks the energy the current Diru have.

I like everything Six Ugly and after, I also think Kisou is one of they're first signs of evolution from "J-rock" and "Visual Kei".

Now they seem to be getting heavier, which is fine. I perfer Diru when they're heavy and Kyos screaming with rage. But yes I also enjoy the occasional dir-ballad

  • w/e...everyone has their own opinions and stuff right. nonetheless all their other songs are good.

  • yup

  • ahhhh i meant kisou not kigan!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ojoox 000> WTF. Their visual kei days where good but not awesome. They look much more credible and serious now.

A japanese band can play metal without having american influence.Metal doesn't belongs to USA.

  • ppl who say diru americanized piss me off lol you have a point. all countries have metal bands. and if they say diru is becoming like everyone else i disagree. they define every genre of music they attempt.

  • growling defanitly fits their style more than the high pitched Marrow shriek. i think there is roots of Macabre in their newer music especially instrumentally. and Dir en grey always had a sort of Metallic sound. see Garden, Zan, Tsumi to Batsu, Pink Killer, Hydra, Domestic F$%^#r Family, and various others from their "old" releases

  • "Old diru is back?" Hold old are you guys talking? Marrow of a Bone? Old Dir en grey is Gauze, Macabre, Kisou. Before they began taking on a heavier, more metallic sound.

I don't know how I feel about this single. Kyo's singing is perfect. The singing parts are very operatic and grandiose and he skillfully jumps from a low growl to high-pitched shrieking. He's starting to growl too much, in my opinion.

  • Old Diru sounds nothing like this xD This is new Diru. The new, idealized, perfect, and highly cutting edge. This is all new. And I love his growling.....id rather have more growling than screaming, imo....

  • I first heard Dir En Grey back in 2003 (and it was a few songs from Missa & Gauze) and didn't really get into their music. Then in 2007 I came across one of their CDs at the mall (didn't know they had become so popular that now you could find their CDs at Walmart) and bought it on impulse. When I listened to Repetition of Hatred & Clever Sleazoid I immediately fell in love. DIR is now my favorite band. I've gone back to listening to their old songs as well, and I love how they keep changing.

  • Just got the single package...WOW

FINALLY the old Diru is back! but they've kept in the elements of what made Marrow Of A Bone & Uroboros So successful!

So glad to see they're still evolving their sound 11 years on, they're making people like me proud to be a musician & proud to have Japanese blood in my veins.

You guys will NOT be dissapointed with this song.

  • The more music they make, the more I love it. I want it!!! I

  • good old Diru is back

  • o.o la ropa se parece a la uso en el concierto aqui en Chile *Q* Kyoooo x3

    Cool ♥

  • i luv how Toshiya plays his guitar =D so cool!

  • This preview is so much better than the actual song.

Fuck I hope that song grows on me 'cause right now we're love/hate.

  • omfg......i could have a sezure just watching this....does anyone know when a full length can be viewed

  • Fucking awesome!!!!

  • Fantastic! best song ever!

  • RAWRRR. Got my hands on the single first thing after school here... They had it way in the the corner in the HMV XD Waha, living in Japan is fun. The new single's amazing. :3

  • EUGHHHHHH If only they sold it in the UK.

  • you're not from japan.

  • Nope, I'm not. But I live in Japan :P

  • lol, i don't think so. either that, or you live in some fucked rural offspring. all of the new Hageshisa singles were fully displayed, front and center, in Nagoya. Dir en grey releases would never be pushed into some dim corner anymore.

  • Well, that's in Nagoya. I stopped at Meguro station in Tokyo. Yeah, I know, Diru's new single should be front and center in every store. :P I was pretty pissed that they put it in the corner. Pissed me off even more that the girl working the register didn't even know who they were when I asked. >:|

  • I just heard the full version. and it was the most intense thing I have ever heard. the insturments stop an 3:07 and kyo starts screaming then die does a one note guitar solo, and it sounds like the world is ending. Now firewall records took it down.

  • Kyo looks like a lion >:3

    Great, great, great.

  • MAGNIFICENT!! .. EVERYTHING!!

  • 激しさと、この胸の中で絡みついた灼熱の闇 And violence, darkness in my heart burning絡Mitsuita

    vocals - Jason

    Guitar - Karou

    Bass - Toshiya

    Drums - Shinya

    From Barks!!!

  • @kzundiverus Oh Google Translate, you never fail to amuse me. :)

  • woah, what's up with YouTube copying Twitter all of a sudden? Sry about that. D:

  • XD Yeah I don't think Kyo's name is Jason. But I went on barks to see if the full video was on their.

  • Jason ;))))

  • Jason?...

  • the vocal singer is called Kyo lol and his real name if I'm not mistaken is actually Tooru Niimura (Tooru being his first name while Niimura being his family name)

  • Hy there his name is Nishimura not Niimura.Greetings!

  • thats weird!!! some websites are saying its Niimura and some are saying its Nishimura.. (I just opened up several websites to double check and they are saying different things.. =/ )

  • -repost... nvm you may be right its supposed to be written out as Nishimura.. there seems to be some common misconception as how the kanji is meant to be written out. (some say its meant to be "Nii" and others say its "Nishi") I honestly think people are really just guessing at it.. no one is hundred percent sure.

  • That's Worm & cockroach again!?!

    Woww I Luv it Heehee...Amazing Kyo's voice.I can't wait for the full version\m/

  • Incredible! Purely brilliant!

  • Wow! So exciting! I can't wait to get this! ^_^

  • Love the multi mic mic stand.

  • hmm, i think it is die's or kaoru's (..or both's) hands are full of maggots/shit and stuff but not toshiya's..

  • holy shit. i was starting to have doubts of what direction dir en grey will be going with their new album, but i now know that i should never question them because this song is fucking incredible!

they never fail to amaze me :]

  • keren :D

  • Meu Deus, quero ver esse single logo!

  • esse vai ser bom heim :D

  • wow thats a terrible quality rip

  • Stop crying and rip it yourself then.

  • Yeah, that'll contribute to the 349348 same versions already uploaded.

This shit ruins the song. And i'm all for doing something good or dont do it at all.

  • I want my FOVS Scans removed from your site!

You remove one of my comments but not the other?!
