Hello Wilfried, Thanks so much for sharing this fantastic book. I can only imagine what it would be like finished - I'm not sure it could be any better!! thanks again.
Hello Wilfried! Which strings do you use on this Brüko no. 6 ukulele ? It sounds so nice and full. Thank you very very much, by the way, for your free e-book.
Actually my husband and I are travelling soon to Germany where he was born, and I plan on purchasing a new ukulele there, either a Bruko from Kitzengen, or a RISA in Gros Umstadt. I have an Oscar Schmidt concert, and it buzzes terribly. I watched Ken Middleton's review of the Bruko Soprano, and I have a tough choice to make. The solid uke 'stick' might travel better for me, and I have more enthusiasm then talent.
Yes, visit Brüko! You will see that they have a lot of beautiful special models with gorgeous woods. Besides they're very kind people. RISA is interesting as well. The Stick is very cool, but it's not that easy to get it tuned. (I got one -- and I like it :) )
Very beautiful! I am new to musical instruments and music, and I discovered the ukulele last year. I have just become accustomed to chords, and have difficulty keeping time. Your music is gorgeous and inspiring.
ich hatte schon mal das Vergnügen mit dir im Clubchat zu "schnattern" und bin jetzt über dein Buch "gestolpert". Ein riesen Kompliment für die tolle Arbeit und die Bereitschaft, es als open-source zu vertreiben.
Thanks for comment! You have a nice and interesting collection of you tubes! Is the Bruko your favored instrument? The souns seems to be very close to the lute!
Yes, I'm playing the Brüko very often. It's very sturdy and a good, but not too expensive instrument, so I can take it with me all the time in a light gigbag :) -- However there are more delicate (and expensive) ukuleles as the Brüko.
Thanks :) Well, the timing of your interpretation made it interesting -- why not? Music was re-interpreted often back then, sometimesthere are a lot of different versions of one song :)
Thanks Paul. Yes, Elspeth was a lot of work too. Now I am working on Bach (have you seen Air on a G string? Yes I'm proud of it :) ) and John Dowland.
I see you are doing a great job with your guitar. Sorry that I cannot always watch all my subscriptions, but I will go and listen a few of your beautiful recordings :)
Thank you Lew. I just fear people will have problems with my unusual way of using arpeggios (slow up- and downstrums) to combine melody with chords. (It's those curly arrows in the tabs.) The direction of the strums (denoted by the heads of the arrows) is essential.
Amazing! Thanks a lot, you have made a great work!
