first i painted the entire controller yellow, then i put tape over the controller in my design, then i painted the whole thing blue, then i put the black lines on, then the clear coat

if your going to paint your entire xbox you must take he side panels off to paint them, otherwise the paint will get inside the ventilation holes and mess it up! regular spray paint would be fine for the console itself because its not handled regularly but you would still need/want clear coat enamel, it not only protects it but it also makes it glossy.
