@starscream66666 nope if they died in the movie they stayed dead(the exception being 2 autobots who where only seriously injured, not killed as is mis-seen in the movie, this can be proven because they didnt die like transformers((they where still coloured, when transformers dies g1 they become black)))

In addition to the beginning of the movie when they wipe out 4 autobots in 30 seconds, this might be one of the most jarring scenes of my life. I raced home every day to watch Transformers, and then boom -- one of the main characters gets vaporized.
I always wanted to see a deleted seen where some of the other Decepticons are having a couple drinks and talking about how fucked up it was to see Starscream killed like that.

The constructacons playing the trumpets is a little much. Perhaps the only time you see a transformer playing an instrument is in this very movie. A cape and a crown! A good look for Starscream.

@RageOfTheTiger No. Starscreams ghost/spark/core survived for some reason, and he would return momentarily in season 3 "Starscreams Ghost", as well as the Beast Wars series (also one episode only).
O.M.G. at 0:06 there is Skywarp, Thundercracker, and the Insecticons but Skywarp is now Cyclonus, Thundercracker is now Scourge and the Insecticons are now the Sweeps and And His Armada.
After the plasma bath Galvatron was all that was left. In my opinion Megatron died in that plasma. Galvatron was a joke of a leader. Though I see Galvatron as the single most powerful normal sized transformer there is. Not only can he dish out more punishment then any other transformer between his bare hands and cannon he can just take hit after hit after hit and since he lacks any scruples it dosnt hardly slow him down.
Galvatron must have one powerful cannon, not only does he waste the backstabing traitor Starscream, he knocks two or three cons off the platform at the same time!
And as far as Power Goes: StarScream HAS shot Megatron and couldn't even dent him with a full blast, Megatron mocks him in pity for it even.
Galvatron is certainly stronger than Megatron, and also remember that Megatron&Galvatrons shots are about 4 times stronger in their transformed state.
So basically this shot was 8 times stronger than the ArmCannon blast which is what Cyclonus was hit with.
Also: Cyclonus is likewise stronger than StarScream in power and durability.
About Star Scream's Death: Get Over It. The ONLY reason Starscream wasn't killed off in the SERIES everytime he betrayed Megatron was that it was the SERIES and StarScream was a high-noted character. Likewise, it's payback for trying to leave megatron out in space to die sloooowly instead of repairing him.
About Galvatron: You have to remember that when he IS found in the series after the movie, he's insane due to a glitch caused from being HURLED THROUGH SPACE into a PLANET that was unfixable.
I say it was totalllly unnecessary to blow up starscream. i mean, c'mon....how rude. PATHETIC FACE AND NOONE CARES TO SAY ANYTHING BUT 'YEAH GALVATRON!'

Neither,it was just that the stupid director wanted to be a fag and let Galvatron kill him with one shot,which doesn't make sense because later in the 3rd season,he shots Cyclones and it only does minimum damage to him!
I think the reason Galvatron was so much more powerful in the movie than in the TV series is because he was binary bonded with Unicron, which would DEFINITELY give him more power. Not to mention, he was damaged by Unicron's destruction and the plasma.
Yeah it would have been cool if Chris Latta could have been around to do the voice of Starscream in the Bay movies, but he died in 1994. RIP Starcream and Cobra Commander.

I agree that the CGI in Bay's movies is fantastic, but the robot designs are too organic and complicated. And the robots lack proper character development. I feel nothing for them.
This cartoon movie has it all. Action, comedy, adventure, suspense, betrayal, love, redemption, revenge, sadness .... and in my opinion, one of the best composed musical scores and soundtrack ever!!!
Well Starscream has always been trying ways to get rid of Megatron and the final result is Megatron is reborn as Galvatron and Starscream is blasted into a pile of ash.
Starscream had it coming to him, like they say, "What goes around, comes around".
I don't know if anybody else has actually noticed this but Galavatrons colours are 'flipped' shortly before he blasts starscream & just before he transformers back into robot mode & stamps on the crown.

But the third season just wasn't the same. They took the three main characters off just like that. Starscream,Megatron, and Optimus.
Even though Galvatron was tech. Megatron, to me they were two different characters. And Rodimus Prime? I mean really, nobody bought him as the autobot leader. By the time they came to their scenes and brought back Optimus the magic was gone.
pretty much the old generation, besides a few, are like killed off in this movie. Iron Hide, Ratchet, Optimus, and several others die. sucks- the people we learned to love all die off and are replaced by these newbs. Now i did like Cup though ... he was cool.
I agree COMPLETELY!! Killing Optimus in the movie detroyed the franchise. I was 9 when I saw the movie in the theaters, and within a couple of months of watching the cartoon for Season 3 in September and October of 1986, I lost interest.
It was never the same after what they did to the G1 characters in the movie.

@TRENZ2 Very true my friend. They even kicked out blitzwing in one of the first episodes of season 3. I've read they did this to sell more toys of these new characters, as by this point I guess most kids (like us at the time) had purchased the older ones.

At 1:18 the constructicons play a fanfare again, but shortly after with the fanfare still playing they are shown cheering for Galvatron. Oh, and let's not forget the trumpets were destroyed by Starscream. Can anyone explain this to me?

Neither,it was just that the stupid director wanted to be a fag and let Galvatron kill him with one shot,which doesn't make sense because later in the 3rd season,he shots Cyclones and it only does minimum damage to him!

I think the reason Galvatron was so much more powerful in the movie than in the TV series is because he was binary bonded with Unicron, which would DEFINITELY give him more power. Not to mention, he was damaged by Unicron's destruction and the plasma.

My favorite part of the cartoon in 1984 and 1985 was the power dynamics between Megatron and Starscream. Even to this day I am amused by it :-)

Yeah it would have been cool if Chris Latta could have been around to do the voice of Starscream in the Bay movies, but he died in 1994. RIP Starcream and Cobra Commander.

I agree that the CGI in Bay's movies is fantastic, but the robot designs are too organic and complicated. And the robots lack proper character development. I feel nothing for them.
This cartoon movie has it all. Action, comedy, adventure, suspense, betrayal, love, redemption, revenge, sadness .... and in my opinion, one of the best composed musical scores and soundtrack ever!!!

Well Starscream has always been trying ways to get rid of Megatron and the final result is Megatron is reborn as Galvatron and Starscream is blasted into a pile of ash.
Starscream had it coming to him, like they say, "What goes around, comes around".

I don't know if anybody else has actually noticed this but Galavatrons colours are 'flipped' shortly before he blasts starscream & just before he transformers back into robot mode & stamps on the crown.
The purple parts are grey, then vice versa.

This is my opinion the best part second to the death of unicron and prime v.s. megatron.and i never liked starsream in the g1 cartoon he was such a bitch back then. i personaly like the armada and energon starsream. but what puzzles me is why thundercraker skywarp and the insectacons at the coronation? werent thay rebirthed by unicron?

Hey...head up....Starscream wasn´t realy dead........he later returns in 1 or 2 episodes of the cartoon series.....he finaly gets a new body from the decapitated Unicron ;)

But the third season just wasn't the same. They took the three main characters off just like that. Starscream,Megatron, and Optimus.
Even though Galvatron was tech. Megatron, to me they were two different characters. And Rodimus Prime? I mean really, nobody bought him as the autobot leader. By the time they came to their scenes and brought back Optimus the magic was gone.

pretty much the old generation, besides a few, are like killed off in this movie. Iron Hide, Ratchet, Optimus, and several others die. sucks- the people we learned to love all die off and are replaced by these newbs. Now i did like Cup though ... he was cool.

I agree COMPLETELY!! Killing Optimus in the movie detroyed the franchise. I was 9 when I saw the movie in the theaters, and within a couple of months of watching the cartoon for Season 3 in September and October of 1986, I lost interest.
It was never the same after what they did to the G1 characters in the movie.

@TRENZ2 Very true my friend. They even kicked out blitzwing in one of the first episodes of season 3. I've read they did this to sell more toys of these new characters, as by this point I guess most kids (like us at the time) had purchased the older ones.
