  • whatever !!!!!

  • Ive noticed that the Ps2 70000 series is alot more durable than the ps2 90000 series Just Saying

  • I prefer the 70000 series because it just looks awesome because of the ridges on the system (I have both my 70000 model works with everything but my 90000 which is Silver only works with PS2 games and nothing else).

  • thats true

  • @ninjakid09 I know it's true.

  • the 9000 version looks more like the Japanese version

  • i have both but i prefer 9000 for the internal power suply,i thinks 9000 is more mobile than 7000 but itsn not look as good as 7000

  • The screwholes on the 70000 are for mounting a small 10"-ish screen. Got one, and have used it for countless roadtrips - its fantastic ! :)

    Nice video

  • At 4.40 the hole on the back is a screw hole there are a pair one each end can be used to screw on a screen such as the Joytech 8 inch screen

    hope it helps others

  • get a psp

  • lol i also say it 7000 and 9000

  • i can use the multitap from ps2 7000 on ps2 9000???

  • @jeanlord19 yeah

  • Qual versão é a melhor a do lado esquerdo ou a do lado direito ?

  • Does the glossy part leave a lot of fingerprints and scratches?

  • hey, the silver and the white 90000 series were available in europe and usa or only in japan?

  • I just got the 70001 :) Haven't got any games for it yet though... :P Kingdom Hearts 2 is on its way though! :D

  • The 7000 can use free mcboot to play games for free and psxloader.elf to play psx games easy but the exploit was fixed in the 9000 by Sony so you have to buy games or install a mod chip that the number one reason for the change I be keeping my 70001 because I love my modded systems

  • I used to have the 70000 series now I have the 90000 series and every minute dust falls onto the glossy area of the new ps2 slim. This is why I prefer the 70000 series.

    By the way nice video

  • @playstationgamer05 that doesn't happen if you don't remove the plastic protection of the glossy area

  • @ProjectRegenesis that's a really good idea. maybe i'll just do that.

  • @ProjectRegenesis thanks man. i can't decide btw silver and black. the only thing i don't like about the black console is the shiny black plastic, but i still think the black looks better than silver. what color did you buy?

  • i think its easier to do swap trick in 70000

  • @ProjectRegenesis what color did you buy? is the 9004 the same as what is in the vid?

  • how much lighter is the 9000 vs 7000?

  • the 70k and 90k series combined the CPU and GPU into one single chip and eventually integrated the RDRAM memory onto the chip in the final models. All 3 components i think were originally separate.

  • hey man, thanks for the vid. i have been trying to decide between the 7000 and 9000. although i do not like the shiny texture of the 9000 b/c of the issues you raised in the vid, i do like the built in power supply feature. i am def one of those people who does not like having a whole bunch of cords running to the back of my tv.

  • Got a SLIM PS3 160 GB back in February and its awsome!!! only downside was that i couldn't play GTA: San Andreas, so two days ago, i went to Walmart and got my self one of these!!! I love Sony products, best CONSOLES ever made!!! This guy at Walmart was trying to convince me to get a 360 but i was like, NAH. Getting a Wii next!!! $161.92(Includes TAXES! is a pretty good deal!!!

  • Sony has to stop making PS2, I hate to get a new PS2 when I got one, but Sony should really a console with PS3, PS2, and maybe PS1 all together.

  • thumbs up if 7000 is the best....

  • @MarkSegismundo you got to try the 50001 cuz it way better it the best

  • the 9000 looks kinda ugly they should have just made it a full shiny all the way around like the original ps3, oh well i got mine 7000 series for free i think the 7000 series looks better since it was modeled after the original ps2

  • i've got the original fat and the other is slim idk if its a 7000 or 9000

  • @Razaej just look on the back of the slim

  • IMO 9000 only looks good in silver

  • I have ps2 900004

  • 5:58 PUT SOME PANTS ON!!

  • i heard that the Ps2 7000 doesnt work well i have one and the disc isnt running but everything is ok, yesterday i went to a place where they repair it and they told me that all the ps2 slim 7000 have this knd of things

  • ps2 7000 is more style

  • i use to have the ps2 700 but i have the 900

  • just goes to show that the ps 2 still kicks ass ahhah way to go..

  • how much ps2 9000 cost

  • @songas333 99.95

  • @songas333 100 Bucks dude!!!

  • @hieldjiv Nooooo,i need to remember the old times with the ps2 first..

  • @mansonsushi thanks bud

  • so does the 9000 actually "do" anything better than the 7000? im needing a new playstation and ide just like to know please?

  • @fucksalt669

no not really. Other than the built in power supply, its about the same. I say get the 90000. You will be happy with it.

  • @masonsushi will 30001-R are way worster 90001

  • @masonsushi Could you tell me if the Ceramic White Singstar bundle has a 7000 or 9000 console?

  • @BigDog91527

The model number for the white Singstar one is : Model number: PS297724

  • @masonsushi meaning what?

  • @masonsushi For the 90000 would Swap Magic work or not? I'm getting one for Christmas as my older PS2 slim borke and I want to get back to KH1. But is it better than the 70000?

  • @masonsushi well if someone wants to play backups with softmod, 70000 series are the way to go. other than that, the tiny 90000 series will work just fine. me myself have a 30000 series v4 from 2001, and reliability was good except that i changed the laser this year after 10 years of abuse

  • @fucksalt669 Get an XBOX 360 or PS3.

  • @fucksalt669

    Get a PS3 :3

  • @fucksalt669 no it not better 9000 will not read through scratchs on dvd games if buy a ps2 get a use one the fat ps2 50000 and 39001 are the best to through cratchs on dvd games but not cd games and slim ps2 77001 and 79001 read dvd games and cd games good through scratchs but not as good whit dvd games as fat 50000 i say they it read as good as 39001 so go whit a slim 77001 or 79001 but if your games are not scratch a 90000 will be good

  • @TheDog7118 What about the 30001? I just bought one from gamestop and am wondering if it was any good?

  • @kevinoo5 yes but not as good 39001 if it a 30001-R then no cuz it do not read through scratchs on dvd games i say 30001-R is more worst then 90001

  • @TheDog7118 Ya mine is 30001. One more question, are the 30001 reliable?

  • @kevinoo5 yes they are reliable but it may say disc read error after a year to dvd games

  • Comment removed

  • 7000 better

  • I had mine for 5 years (original slimline)

  • the 90000 series has a DVD bypass lock but it runs BURNED games , but cannot be modified ( means cannot read FREE McBOOT )

  • what is the difference? i'm italian.. answer please

  • @TcBDany

There is no major difference except that the power supply is built in the 90000 series PS2. As far as function its the same. Just the looks changed.

  • @masonsushi no there is a diffrence in that the 9000 doesnt overheat as quickly as the 7000

  • the 90000 series is the better, cause, it runs burned games , compared to the older series u need a swap magic.

  • I would prefer the PS2 90001 series, the PS2 7000 series is just going to overheat and attract dirt.

  • @Curtis32418 i dont really see a difference, please be more specific -- i want to know it before getting it ;)

  • @TheGuyWhoReviewz Ummmmmm, idk. I'm just saying that the Plastation 2 90001 Series is better than the 7000 Series Plastation 2.

  • @Curtis32418 ok, thanx

  • @Curtis32418 The ps2 does not overheating problems that i know or atleast mine has no problems!

  • Nice system! i have a PS2 Slim SCPH-77001 CB system. i like the Ps2 i use use it for movies and Cds and stuff, and of course games.

  • why is the 90000 series not availible? i like the 90000 better

  • @Dell0304

I typed the wrong one. The 70000 isn't available. The 90000 is. You can get it at any major retailer like Best Buy or Gamestop.

  • @masonsushi hmm, i have a 77001 system. i wonder how much it would be for a newer one.

  • @masonsushi i got the 70000 series

  • @masonsushi which one is new?

  • @masonsushi why do you keep typing 90000 its 9000...:P

  • @masonsushi i have the ps2 70000

  • wich is batre

  • @ps3orxbox3601

the 90000 series isn't available. They both are fine and work the same.

  • Can anybody tell me if the 90000 series still has the LED power light?

The other question i have is is the power cord as long as the 70000 dc power supply. Thanks in advance to anybody who can answer this:)

  • the only thing i dislke about the 90000 Series is th eject & power button

    their pushed too far in

  • can yo use a codebreaker with the 7000 series? pls reply

  • @boydfootball5

I am not sure to be honest. I would assume so though. I don't have one to test. I fi get one, I will test on both and make a video on it for you.

  • @masonsushi ok that would be great thx

  • @ericngo77 hey thx 4 leting me kno

  • order of company the oldest, nintendo, xbox 360,and ps,nintendo pwns all

  • can this be modded? if so, whats the whole process?

  • @jonnyjumpsalot

I am sure the 9000 series can be modded. I have my 7000 series modded to play burns and imports. There are site onlie to show you about the modding process, so you will have to refer to them about getting it done. They solder a chip on the board.

  • @masonsushi

    hmm ok :) cheers!

  • did the 9000 series come out in north america??? i've only seen the 7000 series in stores??

  • @idknuttin

Yes the 9000 did come out in the US. You can find it most anywhere now. I just left a GameStop and saw that they had quite a few of them.

  • This was actually extremely helpful. Exactly what I was looking for.

  • This video was actually extremely helpful. Exactly what I was looking for.

  • how do i get online ? thank you for the video

  • the thing i like with the 90000 is that the power brick is internal..... on my old 70000 i frayed the DC end (from brick to ps2 chord) of the brick, so my dad had to pull it apart and re-solder the cable.(dont worry he is an electrical engineer and an electrician). and my mates 70000's drives ribon cable pops out and scratches any disk to buggery.

  • thanks man, i really like your comparison. top notch. you have been very helpful.

  • Where can I buy in the UK?

  • all online delers sale the 7000

  • 7000 id say is better only because the power supply is external...that way if something happens to it you dont have to send it inn ...just buy a new power cable

  • just out of curiosity does the PS2 9000 come with the towel you just pulled out? or do i have to buy it?

  • @dstylegamer15

It doesn't come with the towel. You will have to buy one. Sorry.

  • i prefer the ps2 7000, the ps2 9000 is just going to attract dirt

  • @dstylegamer15

I agree. I have noticed that my 9000 just becomes a dust magnet. I prefer to use the 7000 for that very reason.

  • getting 90,000 tomorrow. can't wait.

  • Comment removed

  • if u dont want the glossy finish you can pick up the 9000 in satin silver it has a matte finish on both sides

  • the screw holes are there to hook up a portable screen.

  • I like the 9000 series

  • I have the original slim, the newer one looks awesome with that glossy plastic,i thought they were jap exclusive.

  • Keep making videos, I enjoy them!

  • On Wikki it said the 9000 series came out in late 2008 here in the US. Personally, I didn't start seeing them in the stores until fall of 2009. It might just be region specific here. We might have still has a lot of of the 7000 floating around in the warehouses and decided to wait until they sold through before releasing the 9000 series.

  • damn i want a 9000 but i wanna put it freemcboot and 9000 dont allow it and i gonna buy a 7000

  • when did they come? They can't have been realesed the same time. Never even heard about 2 diffrent PS2's :p

Is is USA only, btw? what I know, we've always had the power adapter built in in the console.
