Cars will never be like they were in the 90's. IMO the 90's had the best body styles still looks good to this day, and most of the older cars are built better than the newer cars, seems like all most car about is quantity not quality.
@noriceformeplz Current Nissans are as well built as this. Granted the gen 4-6 Maximas saw a small dip in quality- I owned 2 of them. The 7th gens out since 2009 are tanks. They could be Infinitis. The 3rd gens did look the best, and n 90s cars' style. But another thing we nostalgic folks gloss over- anything pre-2000 rusts, and sometimes badly. :( Even E39 BMWS.
@jaymum23 Yes all Nissan's are built well, but they could shine in some areas but overall the best in class. I love any Maxima, from the 3rd gen to the 7th gen. My fav has got to be the 4th gen, it still to this day looks great and has great quality materials thru out..and with a VQ35 swap they are a beast. We got two cars pre 2000's their all rust free, i live in the South we don't have rust problems just the sunbake, can mess up your paint and interior if not cared for properly.
@noriceformeplz Cool! I love hearing about your Maxima collection. :) I once had a 4rh gen, and now have a 3rd-gen Altima (post-facelift, so the interior quality is at least tolerable). The 4th was nicely buit, and had great fit-and-finish (maybe not quite up to the 3rd, but close). More importantly, it was the first car with the VQ. I hear you on the sun-bake. You guys get that instead of our gross NE road salt. Mother nature always finds a way to disintegrate our cars. XD
the current car i drive today, my 1st was the '92 second was '89 Maxima all 5Spds.. LOVE 3RD GENz
