  • I've seen the shimano slx m665 and it seems really nice. Although shimano needs to get on the ball with thir choice of bearing type. Cmon!!! Loose ball? Really? Lol

  • The Hope is clearly the superior hub, the main difference is the strength and number of engagements. More engagements = better hub and more freewheeling resistance, thus spins for less time!

  • lol i have deore, but it doesnt roll smooth at all. im looking for a hub with little downtime, within my rediculously low budget. LOL (i also need new forks, my judytt is about done, and my bombers are blown) 100 bucks max.

  • Broken in

  • Sure is the chris King Hub better than a deore but if they arent grölen in they don't spin so Long

  • But i find its better when your Hub spins longer instead it makes more Sound

  • @BasaltGiraffe Its louder because it is built better. Look up Chris King Hubs, they are even louder. There is a couple hundred dollar difference between the Shimano Deore and the Hope Pro 2 Hubs. The Hope hubs are geared towards the people who use/abuse there equipment like say a pro rider. The Deore hub is more of a recreational riders hub.

  • Wow the Hope spins really Short

  • @BasaltGiraffe When you have a setup like that which engages so aggressively it will tend not to spin freely for all that long.

  • I've too got the deore hub but mine is really quiet but spins loooooooong

  • they sure don't spin for very long

  • @alexrex20 At that time they weren't broken in.

  • sound of perection

  • the more expensive the hub the more ratchet pawls it contains, means a more instant reaction to you pressing on the cranks

  • I got the wheels from chain reaction cycles, so here is a link to the bearings on there site. They ship world wide.

  • Sorry wont let me post a link. Just search there site for them.

  • do you where to buy the bearings for that hub?

  • Nope.

The hub was brand new, and needed to be broken in. It spins much more free now.

  • @Vtolds the rotors were probably rubbing on the pads aswell

  • is your disk rubing ?
