The Torchwood Institute (or what remains of it) behaved like pure amateurs, and nothing really much happened.

I don't think it is the writing. I think it is the American actors that are killing the show. You can take a dumb line, spin it with a British ascent, and it sounds brilliant. Take the same line and let an American say it, and it's laughably stupid. Being an American, this post would have probably seemed smarter if I could have done it in a British ascent. :D

It was so weird watching the first episode of Miracle Day without that "doo-doo-doo-doo-doo". There were moments where it played very briefly but...it just wasn't the same. =(
I miss Tosh, Owen and Ianto :/ While COE was good, it wasn't the same wihout all five of them. They should had never have killed them off. Series 1&2 will always be proper Torchwood to me! Series 4 looks really good, but I really hope they haven't messed it up, since it's now been co-produced with Starz, (who are taking all the credit) they better not change Gwen & Jack just to suit the American audience.

You didn't know? Yeah, series 4 called Torchwood: The New World is coming out in July 2011. It will introduce new CIA operatives working together with the survivors of old Torchwood team and the team will work mostly out of Cardiff, in other countries like America.

It was so weird watching the first episode of Miracle Day without that "doo-doo-doo-doo-doo". There were moments where it played very briefly but...it just wasn't the same. =(

I miss Tosh, Owen and Ianto :/ While COE was good, it wasn't the same wihout all five of them. They should had never have killed them off. Series 1&2 will always be proper Torchwood to me! Series 4 looks really good, but I really hope they haven't messed it up, since it's now been co-produced with Starz, (who are taking all the credit) they better not change Gwen & Jack just to suit the American audience.

@LauraaLovingYou Yeah, I'm an American and I don't want them to americanize torchwood. You can tell when they are trying to do that because series 6 of Doctor Who, when aired on BBCAmerica, has Amy explaining the premise of the show before the opening theme. I thought that it was funny when Jack said none of your business to that CIA when talking about his immortality. People watching Starz will like Series 4, but they really have alot of catching up to do, and by catching I mean watching

I had just noticed that if you rearanged the letters in torchwood they spell out doctor who i cant tell if it was planed or just a coincidance. sorry for spelling =P

@gravitycat2471 it wasn't planned but it was a codename for Doctor Who, and when they wanted to do this spin-off series R.T.Davis remembered the name (he said it was a good idea) and they decided to name it that

I will miss the old team, but Jack and Gwen will still be there along with the new Torchwood gang, who will probably be american. Love how the show changes, just like doctor who.

You didn't know? Yeah, series 4 called Torchwood: The New World is coming out in July 2011. It will introduce new CIA operatives working together with the survivors of old Torchwood team and the team will work mostly out of Cardiff, in other countries like America.
