  • Ni kalau aku jadi co pilot dier mau terkencing!!!laju siot...nak baca route pon tak yakin...hahahhaha

  • kete ni nama je yg tinggal melambangkan kete malaysia. tapi kemungkinan besar, 100peratus apa yg ada pada kete ni bukan buatan malaysia.aku rasa wiper yg dorang pasang tu pun bukan buatan malaysia..

  • WRC manufacturer: proton 2nd beb!

kalah subaru! tinggak mitsubishi je nk kne potong!

  • Proton is already Sucking enough "blood" from Malaysians...they are no choice but to join venture with Mitsubishi...because Malaysians already "dry"..unable to funding anymore at their "R&D ...lousy CAMPRO....

  • @tommylff dude get a grip, learn from the history...if u watch and read from years many countries starting their technologies by copying other countries technologies..for example, how the russia built aeroplane, and until now managed to produced superb jetfighters like sukhoi?they copying it from the us aeroplane technologies, they modified and innovated it to achieve their objectives and standards they are having now.

  • i wish they sold the bodykit and engine of the s2000 neo :(~

  • mak datuk lajunya, den kalau bawak keto tak ponah lobih dari 80 kmh

  • laju giler satria neo ni..nak satu nak satu..! This my 1st tym ever seeing this monster neo. 9/10. cheers!

  • dahsyat bunyi engin..

  • nice handling..

go-cart easy handling on the rally car??

    good combination..

    nice engineering..

try get Petronas support on the fuel

    haha

  • Gler siot..Gempak Malaysia..

  • Will there be a Malaysian driver behind the wheel of one of these?

  • @Jermeister

That will probably never happen cause I don't think the Malaysian drivers have the sort of skill to be able to keep up with the IRC guys like Kris Meeke and Mikko Hirvonen. If they ever decided to put a Malaysian driver behind the wheel they would probably end up with the same finishing results like the Suzuki World Rally Team.

  • @DZoneTV Pity. Would still be nice though.

  • mak aih!! handling dia..effortless!!

  • kos utk modified sahaja adalah sejuta ringgit malaysia..neo s2000 ade 10 bijik jek..sebijik da hancur..yang puteh 2 da ade dkt r3..gearbox pakai dogbox klau dkt kedai potong pun harga dalam belasan ribu..ahaha...

  • good luck petter , prove to everyone whos the best and most unlucky driver in the wrc !

  • HIDUPKAN KUASA DAN PENGARUH WRC DI MALAYSIA dan di semua produk PROTON

    Kita mulakan REVOLUSI WRC!!!

  • This car is an IRC-spec car. WRC has a different regulation.

  • babylon2233, I try to translate what I wrote..

Petter Solberg, WORLD RALLY CHAMPION year 2003 (8 years with Subaru World Rally Team) will drive PROTON SATRIA NEO S2000 in WRC 2010 and will bring the whole team involved in SUBARU WRC 2003.

"The Proton is a nice car, it's a very detailed car," - Petter Solberg, WRC champion with SUBARU

"PROTON has already set its goal to run a racing programme similar to Subaru's in the WRC." - PROTON director Datuk Hj Abdul Razak Dawood.

    REVOLUSI WRC !!!

  • Comment removed

  • WRC will implement S2000+ rule for 2010 World Rally Championship season,PROTON will make its debut in WRC next year with Petter Solberg which is WORLD RALLY CHAMPION in year 2003 with SUBARU WRC team.

  • Oh. missed that news. Anyway good luck Proton.

  • this is crazy man.... race on a race trax will be lot safer

  • BTW this is rally time attack, the car sound so aggressive suitable with the situation...oh and mybabyvin theres no need expensive car if u cant drive like that, even "proton cheap n stupid car" can do better than ur super expensive car A-HOLE!

  • why is the car sounds so aggressive?i had one of this,it was much quite and quite a sweet drive.

  • then, design an expensive n smart car urself... hahaha

  • Thanks for uploading this vid. Enjoy!!

  • yang penting aku nak neo gak. sebab lawa

  • stop debate about proton.. just enjoy the video...

    cheers~~!

  • I'll be satisfy as long as Proton be able to export large quantity of manufactured cars to developed countries, such as. US, european countries, etc, AT ALMOST THE SAME PRICE AS THE PROTON CAR SOLD LOCALLY in a couple of years ahead. for those who doesn't know yet, the exported cars are sold at a price half of those sold locally. if not because of the rock-bottom selling price, countries like turkey would not buy proton cars because they're smarter to afford better cars than proton

  • or proton car should sell locally the same price as they exported to others country.meaning that they should cut the price to half.. wonder if neo can get to MYR20k only..lol

  • U statisfy or not, it's ur problem mate... i'm not forcing u to buy Proton car.. even proton didnt ask u to buy their car.. it's ur money, ur choice.. can afford Jap car then, just bought it.. That why proton collaborating with Mistu again.. they want a better market. They aggresively improved their product and wanna capture a bigger shares in overseas market...

  • so does it mean that the standard neo is not good because the cps one is better..?

  • standard neo is good actually, just a quality issues make it's look bad.. former campro engine suffer a dip low end.. so it's didnt make up to expectation. If u still not consider a cheap plastic interior, dont put ur money to previous neo.

  • Neo CPS is somekind we can say "what peoples want".. want a better engine? CamPro CPS is the solution. wanna a better interior? leather interior will shine ur day.. also proton had improved it's handling.. all i can say is, Neo CPS is different with standard Neo in term of quality, engine improment and handling. Test Drive Neo cps, u'll be amazed..

p/s: myvi interior overall was plasticky...

  • is it the former neo using the super galvazined steel or galvanized steel?

  • galvazined steel.. but for sure, it's safety feature is better than myvi. Err... do u know? Proton still working on new upgrade, Campro CPS 1.6 Turbo.. if i'm not mistaken, we can get that engine in 2010-2011. That engine produce 240Nm torque instead of 150Nm and 180bhp if compared with 125bhp Campro CPS...

  • aenz81, if you've been given a choice. which one is better , Neo or Myvi.. which one have more benefits and worth to have it. in term of engine capacity, torque, crash test etc

  • Which is 1 better? of coz Neo is better. My siblings have both of this cars. So i'm be able to test both cars. Neo cps chasis had been improved with super galvazined metal. 4 stars crash test. meanwhile Myvi only score 2 stars. In term of engine power

    Neo CPS- 125bhp, 150Nm torque

    Myvi 1.3- 86bhp, 116Nm torque

Benefit of using myvi is, u can save more fuel than neo, quite comfort for family due to 4 doors instead of 2 doors of neo, but be careful, this car handling can scare u in high speed

  • Meanwhile for Neo cps, new improvement make this car a way better than it's previous model. FC is acceptable for 1.6 car. Leather interior will amazed u..Suitable for speed lover since "cps" upgrade solved the suffer torque dip on low rpm speed. So no more sluggish low end. A very fun car to drive.. can take a coner with high speed. And if u compared Myvi and Persona... i am very sure that Persona have a better point and have a lots benefits since it a 4 doors sedan.

  • ask this guy compare the myvi with saga laaa

  • forget the myvi.. ahhh no power!! u must compare with saga blm not neo.. hahaha 1.3 go for 1.3 laa hahahaha..... i vote saga for balik kampung u know?

  • good choice my fren.... u know, Saga engine bay is stronger than avanza and vios.

  • if we take a look at the proton neo.. the exterior is marvelous and fabulous.. so sporty. but look at the interior.. sucks man. cheap material. then proton should decrease their selling price especially in malaysia .

  • yeah, neo so sporty exterior and interior but lack of quality.. ya i've to admit.. but that Neo is 2 years ago production right? u can try to visit nearest proton dealer.. i can say, u will be amazed by new Neo CPS... super improved exterior and interior.. CPS engine charateristic is different with CPS engine inside waja & gen2....

  • my fren had an accident.. head to head collusion... New saga vs Toyota avanza.. avanza front end is badly damaged, meanwhile my fren saga front end damage is less if compared with that avanza... i have a picture for proving my word here... i will give a photobucket link for whoever wanna see the picture...

  • just my opinion, sorry if i offended anyone here with my extravagant comment.

  • you are right.., i am malaysian agreed that , proton doesnt improved their r & D..selling poor quality car with hoping to get lots of profit...

no creativity at all. it's true that the car that proton made is box like..

  • By saying this, u still live in the past mate. selling cars for profits? ok, saga is cheaper and bigger than viva and myvi. Persona is a slightly bigger than myvi and yet the quality is far way better for myvi to catch up and the price? quite similar my fren. Wanna know more? persona and saga is using Galvazined Steel for the chasis, similar with BMW 3 series chasis. Exora is using SUPER GALVAZINED STEEL, the safety is step ahead infront Jap MPV. In Malaysia, Jap car still using Galvazined steel

  • well, as far as i know.. malaysia have lot of corruption and excuses making thing. Proton have produced lot of car that low in quality that make the product cannot long lasting. After a few month then it will be lot of broken things and squeky sound will

  • Tada... that why i said u still live in the past.. proton had improved the quality issues about a year ago.. start from 2008 onward, just a little voice we can hear that proton had a problem with the quality. And now, costumers feedback are positively encouraging. For Exora, crash test is 4.5 stars. Using BCM i-drive technology, similar with conti cars. wanna know more? i'm free to tell u more intressting stuffs about proton latest archivement..

  • -In Malaysia, Jap car still using Galvazined steel-

Perhaps malaysian cant afford the SUPER GALVANZINED STEEL car made by Japan. so Japan just export or malaysia just import the galvanizned steel..

  • nope, it's not about malaysians cant afford Jap car using Super galvazined steel. It's Japanese themself thinking that galvazined steel is good enough for their cars. They know most malaysians can be blinded with the interior quality, then they will forgot about the chasis meterial.. u know? toyota develop vios & avanza just for selling in 3rd world country. both of cars is not available in europe. So, good point for proton to use super strenght steel for their car with afforable price.

  • ok, i'm checking on proton website. let's see.... hmm, i can see few cars from the past 5 years still on sell. not much difference, proton even mention facelifted cars in the website, wow, the price is very steep for a campro engine cars like waja. iswara which is shaped like a box is on sell too. c'mon, where's the innovation and creativity of proton? racing cars doesn't mean it will be eventually turn into a family sedan car,in fact, it's used for a bit show off to show proton still competent

  • u know? developing a new model is costs more than RM500 millions for R&D and that excluding the meterial such as sheet metal, rubber, plactic, electronic gadget etc for every unit of proton car. That why waja, gen2, savvy and persona still available in their line up model. Before proton can develop new model, they need to archive ROI (return of investment) for their previous model. Proton need a better economic of scale if wanna return their investment in a short time.

  • New CEO is working hard to correcting the previous ceo error. And now, proton is on right path. If Proton can archive ROI just within 1 year for every model, so, we can see that every proton cars will have a replacement model for every 3-4 years... making a car is not easy as 123 & ABC....

  • every cars model that already in market at least 3years, facelift is needed, not just proton do that, but all car manufacturers doing this to refreshing the car looks..

p/s: My bro 2007 Estima Aeres, front & rear bumper is different with 2005 Estima bumper. Can we consider this as facelift? yes.....

  • as for your comments, let's see who are the one live in the past.

  • this cars is designed for racing!. How about the sedan cars made by proton? the interiors are made of cheap plastic, engine is .5 litre below from average european cars, noisy cabin, bumpy ride, cheap suspension, poor exterior design. i still see all these weaknesses in proton cars. Infact, malaysians are paying more than what they get. 2006 sales drop is a proof that malaysian has lose trust in proton. even with government fundings, it still refuse to grow to match international standard.

  • That was 2006 mate, this is now. FYI, Proton has increased its QC these few years and are slowly getting back its market share. With its impending MPV coming out soon, and its Saga selling quite well, it will surely regain its no.1 spot in Malaysia.

  • my apologies, 1 year ago. see wrongly but seriously even after so long, malaysia car still remain the same. a number of failed projects, e.g tiara, juara, arena, etc. and most bothering the consumers is inferior quality

  • this MEM's S2000 car project is nothing to do with any other proton cars.... MEM (Mellors Elliott Motorsport) is authorised to transform road going Satria Neo into a ground-breaking conversion of the Satria into the full specification Super 2000 car.

But if u still see proton still remain the same, i'm apologise, this might hurt u.. u maybe still live in the past. Proton had corrected the quality issues about a year ago. Now the feedback from consumers is positively encouraging...

  • Are you one of proton employees or u have someone close to proton. I must say you are very supportive of proton and i don't blame you for having faith in proton with more than 10 years of 'achievements' in malaysia.

  • nope, i'm not 1 of proton employee. i'm a businessman...I have a good experiences with proton waja, gen2, wira 1.6.. My family members have a foreign cars such as Estima Aeres, vios, city, civic, and wish... so far, foreign cars also got problem my fren... my big bro facing a problem with his Etima engine.. annoying sound coming out from the engine.. thank god, his MPV still under warranty...

  • This video was made 5 years ago, i don't see any improvement that proton has made. only see more facelifted cars been manufactured instead

  • is this neo use the s2000 engine?

  • How much this car...just asking

  • £1million....

  • On another, slightly more positive note, congrats to MEM for scoring a 3rd fastest stage time on SS1 of Rally Ireland with the Satria Neo, as a proof of its giant-slaughtering abilities.

  • Are u sure its 1million pounds? Rules stipulate that an S2000 car can't be sold for more than 168,000 Euros which is roughly 150,000 pounds. Unless my info is incorrect, please clarify.

  • developing a chasis, 4wd gearbox, clucth, reengineered the enjin, electronic parts etc, already costs more than RM5millions.... developing a new model from strecth, costs is more than RM500millions.

  • Ah yes...i get your point. Can't deny that cost of R&D is darn pricy, but i'm referring to the actual price of the car when its offered on sale within the market to privateers and interested teams. 1 million pounds is a little too expensive for a S2000 car, unless the price limit has been increased. That would destroy the whole idea and purpose of introducing the S2000 class.

  • The price is mentioned in the video "Proton launches new Satria Neo Rally car" by thestaronline channel. 250,000 Euros.

  • the price was 250k euros... but developing costs was £1million... the more u can sells, the cheaper prices u can get... :) that why MEM is eager to sell s2000 to worldwide rally team... if Exora developing costs is RM450millions, can u sell it nearly RM1million? nope right? :)

  • Ah...now u've made yourself sound clearer. I thought u were referring to the market price for this car, instead of how much one test prototype like the one featured in your video would cost. I think fans of this car would prefer to know how much one would have to fork up to purchase one that is mass-manufactured for the market instead. Ok...argument closed.

  • Yes, i agree that engine capacity does not matter but seriously Proton still has a long way to go. I won't criticise the S2000-spec Satria Neo which should be miles different from the production version. Hey, maybe the Satria Neo's engine can produce a reasonable amount of torque and BHP and there's the Lotus-tuned handling but there's still the terrible torque dip in the center of the rev range, just went you need the most push but i'm sure Proton has corrected that with the new Campro CPS.

  • yep, campro cps torque kick up start from 2500rpm... so, no more sluggish low end... max torque 148 at 4200rpm... quite impressive when i'm be able to push gen2's cps 0-100km/h just within 8.2 sec... just give a support and time to proton. They will trying to improve and already improved step by step.. slow mean steady and better late then never...Btw, Neo CPS will roll out soon.. and, I'm waiting for result of ireland rally, thank u for ur info. Anyway congrat proton. :)

  • I own a Naza 206 Bestari and the engine bay is loaded with components although its just a 1.4litre engine. So much different from that of the Satria Neo.

  • My waja's engine bay is full loaded with engine and other components in it.... so what the point?? sometimes, smaller engine can produced a higher TORQUE and BHP than a bigger engine.. professional racers is not bother about their engine size but the main factor is their engine can produced a higher BHP, TORQUE and most important is, a proper HANDLING car. Cramp interior is another case, that why this car was called sport hatchback... same cases that happen with Seat Ibiza.. cramp interior

  • yeh, Malaysia Boleh! :D

  • If they can't get Solberg, there's still Karamjit Singh to consider if he's still interested in such high-level competition. The production Neo is crap when it comes to interior space. I recommend sawing your legs off if you're stuck sitting in the rear. And when you pop the hood, there's so much empty space in the engine bay that i could see the ground through it.

  • why when u pop up the hood of vios and city, there are less empty space in the engine bay? that because the engine bay boths of the cars was smaller than the other cars that in the similar classes. If i'm not mistaken, it's almost the same size with new Saga's engine bay.

  • if this car is a hit by next year i hope they improve the quality of the Production Neo

  • 2003 world rally champ and ex-Subaru frontman Petter Solberg is currently in talks with MEM for a possible 2010 WRC campaign in a Satria Neo S2000. It'll be interesting if this deal gets underway. Having such an experienced driver as part of the team will no doubt be an asset for both MEM & Proton in making a big impact on the rally scene.

  • we dont know if Proton has the money to pay Solberg and its gonna be high....

  • What kind of motor is it using? Is it a modified 1.6 Campro engine with increased displacement to 2.0? Damn loved the sound of the revs... bravo Proton

  • yeah me too!!

  • fucking fast! laju tue neo die

  • i admit i don't have the balls to drive this speed at those road.

  • why dont they use the paddel shift? are the fia going back in time instead of forward?

  • Just refer to the S2000 class specification and you will know why. The reason why is that they (FIA) wanted to make rally race an 'affordable' sport. Not just game for the big boy with fat pocket, hence more competitive.

  • finally... a true touge machine based on malaysian car...

  • And not to mention the cost reaching 1 million ringgit just to build one of this beast.

  • they're palying dead with that car..nvrtlss, awesome driver and car..+_D
