Screw this level. Screw electrified Kelp. Who the hell has electrified kelp growing near a dam. Did someone forget to insulate the damn turbine? Its like 1988 and my right eye is twitching. Damnit.
i will agree that this is a tough son of a bitch fuck of a game, but i dont think its a bad game, its quite enjoyable, the music is great for one thing, and graphics were decent.
damn, the Angry Video Game Nerd never beat the dam level? of course it was hard at first, but after a few tries I did manage to beat it. he must really suck at video games.
@hectorrona The bane of ever NES gamers existence including James Rolfe The Angry Video Game Nerd and Nintendo has now tortured future gamers by porting it to the Wii Virtual Console, even the Infinite Heath Game Genie code does nothing against both seaweed types here. But the AREA after this is worse.
@hectorrona Actually the "grappling hooks" or called ropes in the game but that's ok I found a way around Area 3 that you don't need the ropes at all just the missiles and the optional most powerful weapon in the game the scrolls, thanks to Nintendo Power's NES Game Atlas which gives me maps and item locations for this game.
Lets face it: in video games, underwater levels are usually the most annoying stages. You usually can't fight very efficiently (sometimes not at all), you about the most vulnerable thing on screen, and the levels themselves are slow and boring.
Not even Ikachan was able to eliminate this, but then again, I never enjoyed that game very much, like the reaction people had to this game.
you should check out the cover tune of this level on my page!
when y'all get a minute.

such a frustrating level yet with some of the best NES music I ever heard
1:32 to 1:37 that part is literally impossible to get past without getting hit, the AVGN was right

It's annoying alright, remember super mario bros. 3 world 7-4? it's a total nightmare....

Oh yeah, I forgot about him.
Yeah, Ecco the Dolphin is pretty cool, and it did do a pretty good job with the whole swimming theme.
