I often wonder what the Mexican Attorney General is thinking or going to do about this. Our government practically participated in funneling guns into Mexico. Now people on both sides of the border are getting killed with the weapons. Holder argues that we need stiffer gun control, but participates in letting them walk with an operation like FAST AND FURIOUS. If that is not an Oxymoron I don't know what is.
"I don't want to cast too wide a net here...." Afraid of whom you might catch in it?! That last sentence I listened to three or four times (starting at 5:55) and really couldn't quite figure out what he was actually trying to say. Maybe it's just too early or not enough coffee yet. Kind of reminded me of a football game as well! Run the clock down! In the end, gun owners here will suffer if they (the gov't) have their way!!
There are no federal firearms trafficking laws. This is Poe's fourth term in the House and if he was serious, he'd introduce legislation. He claims to care and he claims to go down to the border regularly. I say that if all he is doing is giving lip service with no action, he should resign from the U. S. House Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism, and Homeland Security.
@michellemichon Hey Ad Hom, stick to the topic. This is about incompetency, corruption, and lawlessness in the DoJ, the highest level of our legal system. I don't know or care about Poe's career sheet and this isn't the place to divert attention from the real issue: If the DoJ DOES NOT follow its own laws and policies, why should ANY American follow ANY law?
@michellemichon he has been to the border several times in the past few years. there are videos on here to prove it. there are laws that talk about lying on applications to buying guns and buying them for someone else.
@michellemichon Exporting firearms to Mexico is in violation of the Arms Export Control Act which carries a maximum sentence of 40 years in prison and a $2.5 million fine.
