we just adopted a whiteface tiel...his previous owner abused him...he is so scared...

Haha, my cockatiel is a lot more stubborn than yours :) He does not sit on arms or shoulders or anything, and he really does whatever he feels like. It's more like he owns us than the other way around!

look at its face-if its cheeks are a vibrant red/orange than it is likely a boy. and if its wing feathers have white streaks it is likely a female
