not always, if an american chooses to read a british book filled with british slang (or vice verse) they will have a hard time. also i'd bet you would agree that Italian and Latin are separate languages right? i know a friend who travels to europe a lot. she doesnt speak Italian but she does speak Latin and she was able to get directions, make small talk, and get by on the latin because they were so similar. and america is drifting. its only been 200 years, just wait for >9000

so, btw, what is your minor/major goal in reality?

I am tentatively going for a double major in physics and astronomy.

Logistics might incline me to go with one or the other, in exchange for graduating earlier.

I'm also not sure what to do exactly after getting my BS.

I'm conflicted between going into teaching middle/high school science, which I think I'd really enjoy AND is something we need right now.

I also like the idea of continuing on through and getting a Phd, doing theory/research and/or teaching at the university level.

My first precal test grade was 104/105 (99%).

I haven't got my first calc test back yet, but I know it wasn't as good. I didn't even answer quite every question... I understand almost all of the material, but don't have the speed that I need. Yet.

Like I said (don't know if it's in the vid...), but I was late getting my textbooks. This is hopefully a fluke. ;)
