And correct, judges do not "make law," in the sense of codifying legal concepts in legislation, but their interpretations of written law DO set legal precedents, which do have some legal bearing. However, there are judges that abuse this power, in what is termed "legislating from the bench."
Whether she's a good, impartial judge... well, that's what this hearing hopes to establish. We'll see.

I wasn't trying to put you down. I was merely pointing out the fact that before Mexico was ruled by Latinos, it was ruled by people who had lived there for so long that we refer to them as "natives" (even though they too had been immigrants in the ancient past). Those natives were not Latino.
While many Latinos of today are descendants of Aztecs, certainly not all of them are. For example, the mestizo Latinos of Puerto Rico aren't descended from Aztecs, Toltecs, Olmecs, or Mayans.

It's not because I live in Arizona and know about Mexicans, its because I grew up on the NAVAJO NATION and I know about NATIVE AMERICANS.
I was trying to educate a know-nothing on something unrelated with a basic analogy, and people were hyper sensitive about the nuances.
I was not trying to give a lecture on the Native American tribes of Meso America.
SOME Mexicans have Aztec in them.
SOME Mexicans have Spanish in them.
SOME have both in them.
Right?

and then after that, yes, the Aztecs weren't the only ones, but they were the predominant group in what is now Mexico at the time of the Spanish arrival.
Where I grew up there was a tribe called the Anasazi, but they vanished and are not really related to the Navajos, who currently inhabit the area. The Hopi reservation is actually within the navajo reservation but the two tribes are very different, they even have different languages. I understand the diversity of Native American tribes.

But yeah, I'm sure if we put one Puerto Rican judge on our supreme court America will look like Mexico.
I'll tell you what-if republicans had their way-this country would look like Mexico.
Mexico doesn't give a FUCK about their poor. They leave them desperate, unhealthy, and uneducated-and guess what-drug cartels form. Then the federal government tries to crack down on the drug cartels, and they end up in guerilla warfare.
And they have small gov't by accident too.

I see lots of Mexicans with lots of kids, I see lots of trailer trash with lots of kids.
You only see the Mexicans. When you see a white trash woman with kids you think "Oh, a mother and her kids".
I just see a bunch of uneducated single mothers with kids they don't know how to raise, period. White, black, and hispanic. In equal proportions.

why dont you get your facts straight and look back at how previous supreme court justices have changed this world (THEY HAVENT).... the supreme court HAS NO change in the law making process, the supreme court defines the congressional law and interprets the law....
