There's a hint of Influence from the Chrono Trigger Theme! Makes this all the more better (I've own the game for only a year and I've enjoyed it more than FFVIII or IX! I could say this is one of the best games on the PS1 ever!)

Every time I go back and listen to these songs, and revisit my favorite moments from old Squaresoft and Enix games, when they were still seperate entities...then I wonder what the fuck is wrong with the people putting out these video games, because this hasn't been remade like 100 times on every platform. Instead it's just weird, wanna-be-cool, semi-futuristic FF garbage year after year, with lackluster music, and a drift farther and farther away from masterpieces like Chrono Cross.

Chrono Cross surpasses FF's soundtracks, is that good. I mean I cannot think of an unpleasant tune in this game, it's amazing that having so many songs, all of them are from good to amazingly perfect.

@Bidon45 Depending on how you look at it I might agree, I think the best songs from FF9 are better than the best of Chrono cross, but if you average out all their tracks, I consider chrono cross better, because FF9 has a lot of sub-par tracks as well, that is how I see it anyway. I don't know of any other game with such a *consistently* impressive OST.

@Trog1988 One of the best yeah. I'd say it tops most Final Fantasy OSTs but I can almost call it equal with Lost Odyssey's OST. It's probably the only truly beautiful RPG made in recent years...While I am an Xbox owner I'm sad that the game didn't come to PS3, because I really wish more people could have played it.

The kingdom of zeal theme reborn in this melody is a blessing to the ears a thousand fold. Though nothing can stand up to the excitement upon first hearing it in the original CT for the first time, and breattaking view of the kingdom of zeal that came with it.
