  • I visited this cementary on june 5th 2004 -- the day befor the 60 years ann. for the D-day landings. I did also see Michael Wittmanns grave. There was a card from an american tank veteran. I looked at it. It said: "My deepest respect". It gave you the chills. My hats off for all the soldiers who died in the Normandy campaign. Greetings from Denmark.

  • in Normandy 1944 was Georgian Legion of Wehrmacht. lot of them died in battle.

  • Very nice! I was there too! In 2007, I visited another cemetery not this one. It was round and one big cross in the center. Near the island with that 'castle' on it. Are you always traveling with a mate of yours? Very nice pictures again, very good one with the vets on it!

  • Hallo, der Sodaten-Friedhof heisst Mont d´Huisne, das "Castle" ist die berühmte Abtei Mont Saint Michel, Berg des Hl. Michael, nach Jerusalem, Rom u. Santiango de Compostella der wichtigste Wallfahrtsort im Mittelalter. Die Normandie ist voll von Geschichte und immer eine Reise wert.
