@Boliverianoz Come on, leeches isn't even a threat. They don't carry diseases. If you got bit, then you just have to remove them. There are plenty of easily recognizable herbs to stop the bleeding and disinfect the wound. Those who fear leeches are blind to the real threats in the jungle.

@1HeartnSoul they suppose to make the machete glide smoother (faster) through the air. But the efect is so small. It is more for the aesthetic than purpose. But that is wat it's suppose to be.

@nitroflesh Just for weight. Kukri are so heavy they need fuller, or in this case holes. With the weight in the blade I highly doubt "golf-ball effect" would make even the minutest of differences. It has that much momentum that air resistance is the least of your worries, more concerned about making your each swing is made with intent and pre-planned to ensure you don't take out your own legs.

Saw them online for around $150. described as 1.37 pounds, 19.3 inches overall, 13 inch blade, 0.16 inch width, AUS-6 steel, Zytel handle, nylon sheath. Japaneseknifedirect They claim it is the same one used in this video. No clue if it is or not. Looked it up because I was curious when you asked, and was directed there from a knife forum.
