44 seconds in Gouf usisng bazooka. Case and point mobile suits can use other mobile suits weapons as long as hands and energy output allow it. Thus zaku 2's should be able to use GM's beam spreay gun.
@hellraiserward but you are forgetting that zeon suits werent capable of using beam weapons until the intoduction of the gelgoog, because they didn't have the right reactors. mass produced mobile suits werent using beam weapons untill the gm, the federation took a risk in developing beam weapons for mobile suits because they might have been too expensive to mass-produce
@SHADOW9O00 its all complicated technical stuff that i dont actually know many of the details of, but basically if the energy output of a mobile suits reactor is too low it will not be able to handle using a beam weapon
this is probably atributed to how much energy the body of the mobile suit can handle without overheating. if a zaku used a beam weapon, its arm would likely fuse, becoming useless
not to mention mobile suits cant use weapons their computer isnt programmed to recognize
@SHADOW9O00 Beam weapons require a constant stream of LOTS of energy to produce a beam big enough to keep from burning itself out. Mobile suit reactors direct some of their super high energy output to charge beam weapons through an electrical plug/socket in their hand, and while a normal suit might be able to be configured to fire a beam weapon, it would take hours/days to recharge and it's simply too expensive to arm suits with weapons that need recharging after 4-5 shots anyway.

@SpecialAgentRavage but what dose the reactor have to do with picking up a weapon and firering it?
