i got to open for jimmy and his band last night, (Artifice Vegas) charlie watched my set very cool guy. dont think i wouldv been able to perform if jimmy was watching. (wow that didnt sound creepy at all did it??) i cant even begin to say how incredible the show was. i was so inspired and depressed all at the same time. most incredible talent i have ever seen!
I met this guy at the Viper Room in L.A. after a awesome solo performance. It was a short encounter, but I got the vibe that he was pretty down to earth. What a talent

He doesnt like Mainstream because he doesnt want to change his music, and I think he is good where he is, his music is awesome........He's a great artist. His music is dark that's why he hasnt made it to mainstream....The music industry doesnt like Great Artists, they tell artists what to play and sing........I think Jimmy is good where he is and we should keep supporting him and his music.
he has tried the mainstream crowds...and told me the last time i met him, that he just got off the manson tour where people were throwing stuff at him, yelling derogatory comments to him....so if that is how society treats a true artist, and one of the kindest souls I have ever had the opportunity to know, then they don't deserve him, and they can have their pop idols and drama queens
Jimmy will make it mainstream, it's just a matter of time IMO.
If I were in his shoes I wouldn't gauge anything of mansons fans, which are notoriously some of the dumbest fuckers out there. Pretty much little kid teenagers. I hope he doesn't get discouraged by how they treated him. Pairing him with MM is a terrible fit, I was disappointed when i heard the news. Knowing it wouldn't go well for Jimmy.
He has a huge amount of respect and is known as authentic voice.

I worked for a music (.com company) before they went under an OURS just got signed from DREAMWORKS. No one ever heard of them. I was blown away by this guy. I got their first cd free and signed and got hooked ever since......Killer voice !!!!
i can't believe how under the radar this guy has gotten. his voice is up there with all the legends, he's a great composer, and he's an honest, down to earth kind of guy. you can't even find reviews of Ours on pitchfork. what's with that?
I know...it is sort of amazing. I got into them in '01 and I think that was probably the "height" of his success...what with the videos on MTV and such. Of course, by saying all this we are assuming Jimmy set out to become a rock star, which may not be true. I think he has gained an incredibly loyal and sizeable fanbase who not only like him because of his image or his voice, but because they know that he is a musician that is truly worth admiring in every respect.
