  • this is just like a fill my teacher taught me, except its a paradiddlediddle, or if you want, you can make it diddleparadiddle accenting the ra making it off beat and more jazzy :D this is pretty much applicable to all genres of music, especially rock, when your smashing the crash cymbals whilst giving the impression that you are rolling on the snare

  • shite

  • this is just a flam three tap..

  • @TheXrythmicXtongue Actually a Swiss Army Triplet w/ flam. The flams are syncopated.

  • Meh.

  • Do the Ks really sound that bad or is it the recording?

  • @AirmanBeHeader almost defs the recording

  • maybe the sound isn't helping, but i think you could work on your ride cymbal, comping dynamics and others things before going into licks.

  • is it like "right - left - left handed flam"?

  • @allmetaliswelcome

it's essentially a backwards swiss triplet

  • @flippytheleper with a left handed flam! the original swiss triplet has a right handed flam, but nobody plays it like that :(

  • @allmetaliswelcome

or an inverted swiss triplet, like right left left flam

  • I have had the same Metronome

  • It's easy to do this exercise with a metronome that is actually able to play a flam... @0:28 Just joking. Amazing videos you have there. Keep 'em coming.

  • hey man seeing your videos is making me think of puting guitar down for a moment and getting some stick to practice! cool...

  • Nice lesson, I really need to work on my flams actually, mostly with my left hand.
