  • but I am not going infantry I am working in communications. O621 field radio operator.

  • @troy33 army will accept me just not infantry jobs. but marines have no problem. If you have no idea what you are talking about and base your ideas on bs then shut up. already signed my papers bro

  • @Atony94 nope I'm goin marines now. Still wish I could go army. But you get wat u get

  • @Rangerleadtheway44 if the army wont except you then the marines wont either!

  • Fucken army doesn't allow red green deficient in infantry. Something that barely affects someone fucks them over in joining the service. Thank god I'm joining usmc where they don't care if your deficient as long as you can do basic shit

  • @Rangerleadtheway44 hey, you get to kill shit, so why so pissed? im the opposite of you, wanted to join the USMC infantry, but they wont take me b/c of medical bullshit, so army infantry it is. shit happens man...

  • @Rangerleadtheway44 lol you got a Ranger username yet you talk shit about the army and decide your joinin marines.

Looks like someone's mad cause they didn't pass army standards at MEPs.

  • Pathfinders in action are a lot less glamorous. Yeah, they set up LZs, but they primarily deal with slingload operations.

  • Can army reservists take the pathfinder course?

  • @cardinal6100 Yes, it all depends if the unit you are with will send you.

  • Can someone explain to me exactly what pathfinders do? Like what would they do on an operation/mission.

  • @TheDevenrocks They clear LZ's, for one... Let's take an operation I'm aware of: Chinook hatch opens, pathfinder clears some of a hot LZ by chucking grenades out one after the other, then hits the grounds, clears the area, reports back to flight ops that the LZ is clear for further operation.

  • backblocks09 here some english- YOUR A LEGG-so what do you know? just a nasty nap!! look it up you fake

  • damn, so to be a pathfinder you have to be airborn tabbed and HALO . these guys are are the baddest of the bad

  • I was an us army pathfinder in c/509th -and this stuff is real-U must be there to know.... you just mist out....soory?

  • @ssgn6 fake ass

  • damn, am i the only one who thinks they look a lot like SBS in this?

  • I know this is fake.

    Because Mo is in it.

  • @rjmohammed

bahh ha ha, you sooooo funny,

  • These are Canadian Pathfinders, cool stuff.

  • SSG LINSON 18E 3RD SPECIAL FORCES GROUP 123RD A GROUP. I remember pathfinder school. Had a lot of fun,

  • good vid,lousy music

  • This brings great memories! Thanks for posting (the song is a bit obnoxious though)! Ed - Former U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Pathfinder, Fort Bragg, NC

  • soo cool

  • Outstanding Jumpers!

  • that music is really retarded

  • Too bad they don't get to do that stuff anymore...

  • @dersnotomorrow What are you typing about?

  • Yeah if we actually have to shoot, someone screwed up...

  • These guys do alot behind the scenes work but dont get much well deserved recognition

  • The most stupid sthing i ever did was not join the army.

  • never to late

  • @supertuber97 pshhhh join the Marines.I did,loved it.

  • @MajKong101 Why, the Marines and the ARMY are basically the same, we crossed trained with the Marine RECON all the time. the Marines use the water, ARMY uses the air to travel. Besides, the NEW, modern ARMY is completely different. With it's new WTC and other concepts these guys are second to none and they don't need to brag.

  • @supertuber97 So, join up. The modern ARMY has the best warriors i've ever seen. I'm a late 80's early 90's soldier, Infantry Scout/RECON, AirAssault.

  • The last pathfinder course was three years ago. the person who tops the course goes back and instructs it.

Out of 50 applicants only 4 passed last course. My PI was the one who had ran the course three years ago.

They are the best of the best.

  • What exactly are pathfinders?

  • Pathfinders secure and do recon on Landing zones and guide in other parachutists or helicopters etc. This requires many skills, including Land Nav, Foward air controlling and many more. The pathfinder course is the hardest in all of the CF courses.

  • Can also be called Ranger Long Range Recon (LLRP or Recondo)

  • This Youtube video should be used as a recruitment video. Music and all.

  • Comment removed

  • The badge I never got! Sigh lol

  • Looks like fun! Git Sum!

  • To the fallen pathfinders. God Bless you. We will not forget you.

  • Ok you don't do any of this stuff at Pathfinder.. especially not HALO jumps

  • This video is of the Canadian Pathfinder Course, where they do perform HALO jumps.

  • pathfinders do actually do HALO jumps actually went sat on DZ and watched them do it THE pathfinders are an extremely underated and negelcted unit particularly in british army - shocking how they treat them

  • they do in canada

  • first in last out CM

  • so if your not airborne what are you?

  • i was thinkin about joinin the army as an 11c(mortars) and hopefully goin to pathfinder school. what i am really askin is, is this possible. and what would i do

  • well im pretty sure being a pathfinder isnt MOS dependent so yeah u could. but i dont really know what u would do

  • LRS leads the way wanna go to Pathfinder school go RIP or LRS.

  • What is the job of pathfinders? Aren't they inserted via air to do things for the main force. (I'm not sure what they do besides find routes). Do they also insert via sea since it showed a submarine but I'm not sure as to whether those are US Army pathfinders.

Also I noticed they werent doing static line jumps, is this normal for a pathfinder to do what looked like HALO jumps? Is this the Army F7 qualification I'm seeing? I'm just a bit confused and would like to know more. Thanks

  • These are Canadian Pathfinders.... They do a lot more then mark a route and guide in the main force. Their tasks go anywhere from close target recconassaince to direct action.

  • Oh good point. I fighure it was a mix after I saw the insignia right when the video began. I know the US Army pathfinders use that insignia.

Well I guess pathfinders is a dedicated occupation in the Canadian Army while in the US Army its more of a additional qualification. Thanks anyway

  • also a qualification in the canadian army. Alot of JTF 2 have their pathfinders badge.

  • 214th Pathfinders - NAM '68 & '69...kickin' ass & taking no names...if you live through it you won't forget it and wouldn't trade it...been there, done that...got my DD214.

  • You Killed people? O.o

and if you were in NAM. you had shitty m16s for testing?

  • Dumbass question...

  • :D

    Douchebag response ;D

  • there startin to recriut from all forces as long as you can step up to the mark that is, a fuking high mark, these ppl are fucking hard, capable on all terrains n able to entre via anything. not easy, but worth attempting!

  • How would someone become a pathfinder?

  • pathfinders are just an incentive that you ask for at meps

  • FYI, All CF members......This is may be the last PPF video you gone see.....if your are involved informed your CoC you are volunteer and|or they have some gyus interested to this course because this expertise will be gone in few year dew of some Genious......And yes this is Canadian Forces Members they beleive in some Specials Ops and i am one of them.

Finnaly for some of you are just to writing in Youtube some bullshit just SHOTtheFUP. beerdrinker my.....

  • True very true, but not everyone who writes a beer drinker.

    EX-COLIS

  • u tell em man

  • pathfinders are amazing,

the best kind of army there is

  • @xXsnipeXx43 i agree

  • never mind i realize this is thecf

  • y the fuk r they wearin cadpat, those cocksuckers. thas canadian shit

  • Because canada has pathfinders too.

  • is this u.s. or brittish?

  • Pathfinders r canadian

  • and british

  • pathfinders are in every military with an airborne force.

  • Not all pathfinders are ABN

  • Actually all are Airborne, and they are in USA, Canada, and UK.

USA and Canada jointly developed the Pathfinders in WWII.

  • Not all PFDRs in the USA are Airborne. I happen to be one of them.

  • All pathfinders are Airborne qualified in the Army. Its a class prerequisite.

  • No, it isn't. At least not in the US Army.

I happen to be a non-airborne Pathfinder. Although, even the non-airborne students learn and test on drop zone marking and DZSTL operations.

  • this is the Canadian army

  • @gagners I know you rote this some years ago,but all pathfinders are airbone, they must be to do there job!!! I know -because that was my job and my life aty that time

  • pathfinder are just very good soliders that have been pick for extra training and the put in to a new regiment

  • Is that why the highest percentage of SAS come from the Para's.

Guess what. Which platoon supplies the most SAS. You got it.

    3 Para/Pathfinder

    You got it.

  • You make a valid point, however do not forget the Royal Marines. 40% of the UKSF comrpise of former Royal Marines.

  • Royal Marines would be SBS as apposed to the SAS.

However when you think that Naval troops are Marines that makes sense. The Army has many infantry Regiments so the Para's are up against or in competition with similar men doing a similar job.

  • Hey Jamie you still alive.....

If yes, just send quick info ref next course coming....

For all dudes want to come on this Crse.... or info: sent some comments i cannot send e-mail adress.

Good change coming for DND with Pathfinder course.

    PATHFINDER LEAD THE WAY!!!

  • Yes I am still alive.

  • Stuff like that makes the army better

    Hooah Guys !

  • cool vid

whats the name of the song and the artist?

  • The brown guy is hot!!! I hear he is into dudes.

  • I like the brown guy in the video....

  • cool submarine!

  • Hooah, these guys a tuffFffFfff!

  • hmmm. maybe someone from the ppf cell, should go to edm, pet and valcatraz and promote the course. cool vid though.

  • it would be a waste though!

  • Yes Reserves can take the course.

  • can infantry reserve take that course

  • Good luck with that one. As long as you can justify it...

  • If your position on the unit MTOE is coded "F7" (or 5Q for officers) you can get a reserved ATRRS seat at PFDR.

Getting a seat is the hardest part. After that, you have a 50% chance of failing out academically...

  • CRAZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZY....

  • Cool
