@fenderbass What black mans music did Bob Dylan plagiarize? Hes a folk singer. Can you give me the name of one black folk singer from that time who is more influential than Bob Dylan? That mans a brilliant songwriter and you should show some respect for that and stop being such a narrow minded fool.
What he says about listening to vinyl records because that's what the musicians listened to is meaningless jive. Recordings were always considered inferior listening experiences by musicians. It's only been recently that audiophiles have been raving about them because of the aesthetics of analogue sound. Jazz musicians were also placed under time constraints in order for their performances to fit. BTY music that reaches "the people" has been done, it's called "easy listening/smooth jazz"
gotta love this guy... he's gonna be big... but though perhaps inappropriate, can I ask what that amazing song is in the background of this video? if anyone knows can you reply to me or leave a comment? thanks!
Wow that was so deep about listening the way musicians heard it...so many people in jazz focus on how something is played rather than what is being communicated. Looking to the past on how things were communicated is great for developing a language that comments on what is going on today. However some folks got their head so deep in a theory book or comparing technique that they aint hip to what's going on now and don't want to connect with people..

@OthelloNC I wasn't exactly refering to Bob Dylan but since you mentioned it,he has to be a good song writer because he cannot sing one bit.
