I love this gun. In my opinion the best assault rifle in MW2. Maybe not good for long killstreaks like the SCAR or RPD, but its just pure fun to play with this thing.

@SnakebitLegend The FAL was an underrated weapon amongst many in Mw2.  I like the MK14 but I feel it lacks the reliability of the FAL. They seem pretty similar in gameplay comparison but I personally believe the FAL in Mw2 was easier to control; Primarily due to the more predictable recoil.

The red dot sight really isn't misaligned. I used it and got 3 longshots in 1 game. Either they fixed it before I got mw2, or it is correctly aligned on the ps3.

I only use the FAL in hardcore because it is a one hit kill (without SP). and in that case slight of hand isn't needed as 20 rounds per clips means ALOT of kills. My build is, Marathon Pro/Hardline/Comando Pro. It's a beast in HC

@Nintendo64Man88 the fal did 55 damage at close range and 35 at far w/o holo, w/ holo its 60 at close range and 40 at far range, the mk14 is 75 at close range and 49 at far range making it much stronger, also it seems to be more like a m14 then a FAL

@Pr0XySh0Tz i've watched lots of these videos of his and have concluded a battle rifle is like an assault rifle in pretty much every way EXCEPT that the bullet is the NATO standard 7.62x51mm, used by the LMGs in game. on that note, the AK-47 and the RPD fire the exact same bullet, but you won't get LMG Expert accolades for using the AK-47 :-)

@Pr0XySh0Tz a battle rifle has a bigger calibre round for instance the scar-h is a battle rifle because it shoots the 7.62x51mm round and the m4a1 is an assult rifle because it shoots the smaller 5.56x45mm round.
