as long as it doesnt screw up the camshafts just like many s2ks did...

its one of my fav cars but if you tune it you have lots of problems in case you dont do it extremely well!

Stock the vtec units are very reliable. But as with most engines, once you start tinkering the chances for detonation increase.

ive seen this one before..if i remember right some1 neglected to mention to wakisaka that the rev limit was lower due to the 2.2l engine...think he was overrevving it all race long

They are, but judging by how they tuned it, I'm not really surprised that it blew. The S2K's engine, whether it be the 2.0 or the 2.2, are both brilliantly tuned out of the factory and EXTREMELY reliable. That said though they're also pretty high-strung, so if you start fucking with shit without reinforcing essential components then it's goodbye.

also Helps the Gearbox And Most the Engine in the long run From Damage, Keeping the Revs up is better for the Car than Slammin' in a lower gear and making the Wheels Lock up or Making the Timming Belt Slip and Pulling a Valve Throw a Piston!!! Trust me it happens :'( fixed now :D

It's called heal and toe, you need top rev up the engine when you shift down, so the engine speed matches up the trans speed, when you drive the car at the limit, any interruption in power or speed can cause you to lose control, you need to rev the engine up when you down shift so engine doesn't work as breaks, even slightly. check also some videos on youtube about heal and toe and douple clutching.

The engine probably threw a rod or something. nauba - vtec engines are more reliable than pretty much any other hi po jap engine but as soon as you stroke them out reliability suffers a lot. this mainly applies to extended hard running which is why you find most stroked/hybrid setups on the drag strip.
