I so rember this movie!!!!!! Yo i im 39 and still have my GT hanging in my parents basement! Thought about giving it to my son, but hell nooooo! I put to much time into it, he will wreck it out lol!
I love this movie, had ever since i was a kid. One question that has been bugging me this whole time is what brand of bike is cru jones riding in this movie!!! i cant find out anything on the internet!!!
Classics man I remember when this movie came out DYNO GT HARO Redline etc....Aparijo , Fiola, Haro man u fellas was off this world still have my Performer hangin in the Garage for SHOw. tRU Masterpiece
Am 38 and still love this into... Wilkerson, Fiola Byther gotta love it....
If for some reason I get ridiculously wealthy I will remake this movie to adapt to the modern age of Freestyle biking. Maybe a rebirth of Freestyle will come about....
Does anyone know where this was filmed? I was told it was at my old high school but it looks nothing like it... But it was filmed 20 years before I went there haha. If anyone has any info that'd be great!
this movie brings me back used to watch this and Thrasher all the time......used to have a Redline bike ....they need to make another good BMX movie there really has not been a good one sence this came out in the 80's thats just sad.......and this stuff is way harder then it looks.......i was totally routing for the BMX group that appeared on America's got Talent this past year.
this movie is ill son i grew up on this i was a 90s kid i had that blue with white gt performer at :54 sec my older cousin gave it to me when i was a kid he grew up during this movie time but the bike got stolen
@deboelo9 that sucks man ......believe it or not my Redline was stolen also when i moved that was a really sad day .......the redline bike was worth about $1000 back in the 80's...........
This movie rocks I even bought a Dyno bike off ebay and started riding again. Old guys still ride too just because your 30 does not mean you still cant live the dream
Man this brings back memories. I used to go out after watching it, hop on my bike,. Racing around the neighborhood, challenging my friends to races, trying the tricks, and going up to the track we had built..or rather the older kids had. big jumps, moguls, one I called the catepillar because it was one undulating 6ft off the ground stretch, and one big 100 yard half pipe carved out of the interior of a stand of trees. they tore it down when I was about 23-24. built a school.
ok maybe you guys can tell me what movie im thinking of is, its about a skateboarder, and at the end of the ovie he has a major downhill race to do. its was made in the 80s i think?
I swear this movie needs to be on blu ray I mean bmx bandits is on blu ray and its not even half as good as this movie (Rad is the best bike movie ever!)
HAHAHa Seriously me too. I went with my cousins and as soon as it was over got home, built a ramp out of some spare wood in my garage and then proceeded to bust my ass face first... GOD I MISS THE early/ MId 80's
This used to be my favorite movie and still is one of my all time favorite. I will show my son this movie as soon as I can get the DVD! I miss these days!
I never realized how Mongoose put their name on the line by letting this movie portray their owner as a crooked alcoholic , and their riders as arrogant jerks.
they put feeling in movies back in the day.more good ones like this are the last star fighter, war games, frog dreaming aka quest also aka go kids.gleaming the cube. etc 80s was good time for family movies:)
some intro them guys had skills first time i saw this was very early 90's made bmx's very cool proberly spawned the idea for x-games. first bike was a bmx bt was 2 heavy for tricks how come you can remember these movies and nt new ones.
my favorite childhood movie, I own the VHS of this and have the soundtrack, my VHS is still in very good shape need to make a dvd before it gets wrecked
I have a bootleg DVD of this movie that looks very close to real. Bought it off of Ebay a long time ago. Man this movie is just so awesome. Brings back memories!!!
i should have spent my time being myself instead of worring about what other people thought of me during my childhood. i also should have listened when adults told me life is short and enjoy your childhood! man if i could go back with the things i know now!!!!!! man i was a dumbass. if i could go back the first thing i would do is beat the shit out of myself for being so stupid!

@99jerseyboy it's cool to hear about other guys from those days! we rented this movie on VHS every single Friday, then went out to hit the pavement on our GT Pro Performers so shed some blood and sweat lol. God I miss reading BMX Plus and hanging out at the Bike Barn and Spoke Shop on Walzem Road in San Antonio. Represent!
ok people...im just curious here...am i the only one here in USA that spent a whole load of money to buy bike parts and learning how to make a radd bike like these? and band-aids....lol

Represent!
