@Latvietis96 thing is, for cheap cards, the value isnt there cuz too many varied performance levels are at the same price point

can you bump up to 4850 at least? or 5750? what about used?

my budget for the GPU now is like $75

actually at first i was thinking to get the gt440 for almost the same price, but the hd5570 seemed to be more powerful

Rain kills the fps for me

i'm getting like 33 fps when there is daylight, but as soon as it starts raining and i dip to low 22's and goes even lower.

We need an 8 core cpu to ( really ) enjoy this game.

adding cores wouldnt magically help (i dont think the game is coded to have infinate cores like say raytracing)

just a really fast quad should be good

Don't worry i fixed the problem by reinstalling the game. Now i installed Visual IV as well and i'm getting a solid 37 fps in the rain :)

everything seems to have been fixed now i reinstalled the game and i'm getting like 55 to 47 fps as an avg and 39 to 48 when it rains.

DiRT has the best GFX of 07-08-09 yet GTA:IV has it on a wider scale.

Am I the only person in the world to think that, in the rain, this is the best looking game out at the moment? The rain effects and reflections in the pavement are so gorgeous, why do no other games look this good?
