i was ready to go party with the snipers but then i shot an arrow and pyro deflected it so it hit me in the knee

I even pulled SMG and got raped by 3 teammates.

How to kill a sniper/soldier as a pyro (because theyre too far away) : keep deflecting thier rockets/arrows, so they get distracted in a little game (because seeing if who hits the other first is more fun than pulling out the flare gun or SMG.) Then, he gets raped by 3 incoming teamates. PROFIT!

When I reflect arrows I just hit the button as soon as he fires, works at most ranges for some reason o.0

i dno if this is what you meant, but i judge it by when the sniper fired.. generally i just know how long it takes to get to the reflecting point

i do still look at the arrow sometimes but if i dont do it by timing i usually just end up getting to watch the arrow hit me in the head

Reflecting arrows can be more or less difficult to reflect at long range depending on how you prefer to time yourself. If you look for body animations, it's harder because the sniper's movements are harder to see from far away. If you look for the incoming arrow, it could be easier. Though it travels very fast and it may hit you before you even see it coming.

So, reflecting arrows from far away is the same as reflecting at point blank? Except with longer wait for the projectile? Awesome, this is going to be a lot easier for me now.
