  • i don't understand the numbers in the circle..?! PLEASE HELP!

  • i reckon ur video rocks but it sounds better if you play the first shape as a minor shape than take the pinky offf. Also with the last chord of the verse it sounds more like the song with a normal c chord than c7

  • I enjoy your lesson. very clear and easy to follow with the tabs provided.

Cool man, thank you very much for being generous with your talent and sharing the knowledge to all.

It helps very much for those who cant afford to pay for expensive lesson.

    Cheers

    bbloop

  • at last someone with whom i understand the rythm pattern tks allot mate

  • god i love your British accent!

  • thanks dude, love ya accent, from NEW ZEALAND !

  • hay man gr8 vidieo can u do free by donavon frankenreiter

  • Thanks for the help bud. Your videos are clear, to the point, and don't drag on. People like you are making the world better guitar players. You Tube is an amazing source for teachers such as yourself and I have learned far more songs from you tube than I have from tabs. I am Native American, we say "chi megwetch". It is roughly translated as "big thank you", but is reserved in use to convay deep gratitude and appreciation. So, chi megwetch for the help.

  • Great lessons the best i have seen

  • check out my tutorial you got some stuff wrong, but still well done and great accent :)

  • switch the A-A7 to Am-Am7

    Sounds better.

  • sorry but they are not the right chourds to the song ahahaa!!!

  • my fingers aren't long enough to do this......

  • seriously man... you should make a DVD for guitar lessons and sell them on TV Shopping... you'd make MILLIONS!!!

  • AWESOME VIDEO ! very helpfull

  • Sorry, but there are a few heavy "mistakes" inside.

First, the first chord is an a minor! The same thing but a minor.

And in the Chorus you play the same thing, with changing between am and am7. Unfortunately it sounds ALOT better with this, and when you look in the origninal you can here this too. So just try it for yourself after watching this vid, its for advanced learners :D

But still I love the way you do your lesson! Dont stop this, you're doing a great job.

  • wow!!!! now that's a No Nonsense approach to Teachin!!! Brilliant in it's simplicity!!! I will watch it again and again!!!

    Duuuude.. thanks very very much!!!!

u should do Skype Live Lessons..

I would sign up 4 dat!!!

    Best o luck my friend!!!!!

  • dude nice gammmin but you should clean your room b4 your mom finds out!!!!!! lol

  • Brilliant mate that was awesome !!!!!!!!! :)

  • haha, starts with the wrong chordxD

  • REQUEST - Tidy up those shelves!!

  • helped a lot thanks!

  • thanks for the chord charts. the other videos never seem to use quite the same chords as the chord sites

  • thnx a lot, you're a great teacher. These songs are so beautiful, just putting my headphones on with my ipod and guitar plugged into my amplug and play along

  • Haha, that was awesome and -really- clear like alot of people said!

  • Sure man.

I didnt say that its wrong. But when you use Am first, and after An7 the saund gets more original with JJ.!

But this video is great, Its only a opinioN!

  • got a question though, how do you strum from F to C in the bridge.. I can see you go down up, down up... during the single chord phrases, but how do I get from F to C :B it's like down up down, down up down, and then back to G with down up down up?

  • .......really fast learnig by seeing (??)

    5*

  • your playing and extra nore in the first chord mate on the 6th fret but the strumming explination helped thanks

  • Nice video man, this is brilliant!

  • Man.

    Very good video.

But there is something wrong in it.

The first and second chords that you used, a and a7 its wrong.

You have to use Am and Am7.

    This is the original form

Try to enjoy of this way and the rest of the video is great.!

    Thax from Brazil!

  • Well, all in all it doesn't really make a difference, like the Chorus part it should be A minor 7th and E Minor 7th on the big hits, but it doesn't sound wrong =P

  • And also, he is making the chords sound the same, using the blind, is a shortcut, you can go the entire verse with the same hand positiong, doing it faster, instead of changing from an A, Am, to a G, G7, C C7 and so on, it sounds the same =P

  • man, what haappened to your hair

  • he got few hair but he got a lot of talent

  • omg those power chortds where a finger touches all chords and make a fret like 5-5-5-5-5-5 are so hard and painfull ... :-L

  • you are great!!!

  • i love you man your my favorite at living!

  • thanks man that was awesome help cheers

  • i dont care what people say... i learned perfectly from you thanks so much!!!!

  • Nice touch with the tablature. Very good. Thanks!

  • thank u :)

  • When i play it, the first chords are: 577555 575555 not sure what theyre called, Am and Am7 maybe. And the chorus is: 022100 E 020100 E7 022100 E 020100 E7 002210 Am 002010 Am7 002210 Am 002010 Am7 (sry for all the numbers)
  • buddy, you fuckin rock

Why cant all guitar lessons be this clear?

    3 thumbs up, dude lol

  • I'm fairly certain that the first chord is an Am bar chord, going to an Am7.

    Cheers.

  • it is

  • nice cheers

  • thank you so much!

  • thanks man, great job!!

  • dude great job! this has been so helpfull, thanks!

  • much help thanks!!! 5/5

  • Thanks!

    So happy too, nice job

  • you rock dude

  • you're so helpful oh man! thank you so much once again.

  • wat kind of guitar should i get cuz i have small fingers making it hard to reach the frets......the guitar i have right now is a LTD F-50 and tat one just isnt working out for me

  • you'll get used to it. trust me my guitar used to be completely useless to me.

  • You can get one that's 3/4th the size (the neck)

  • just an electric of anykind you just have to work at it even more because finger size dosent matter

  • get a telecaster

  • go to a guitar shop and play as many guitars as you can and find out what feels and sounds best to you.

  • The accent somehow makes it easier to learn the song :o

  • hi iv just started playing the guitar and i dont know how to bar but it seems for most songs thats necessary, is there any chance you could help me? thanks

  • try doing just the barre...do it over and over and over and over...do it as close of the end of the fret as possible...then after you practice that you just add the rest of the necessary chord...there is not a standard way for learning that...everyone learns it diferently...i hope i helped ^^

  • Dude, you're amazing! Haha :)

  • dude, your lessons are very helpful and simple. i play bass mostly, but because i watched your videos last year i got the desire to play guitar. now 1 year later i am playing my fender strat and im rather good. thanks man

  • than after the open C, you just put your little finger on the D string 4th freat

  • instead of doing a C7 you could do an open C... it would be much easier to change

  • I was wondering if you could do a sectino on Cancion del mariachi, from the movie desparado?

  • nice easy version of this awesome song! thank you :)

  • Thanks a lot man. Very short, to the point, and well taught. Really liked the diagrams, learned the song in one view. Appreciate it bro, keep it up

  • the first chord is Am to Am7

  • That was a great lesson, I'm just sort of a beginner, but I reckon I could learn the song with this, its also my favourite song, so this helps a lot.

  • i'm pretty sure you do a pull off on the chorus on the E-chord on the d string and another pull off on A-minor chord on the G string =)

    besides that good job bro

  • Helps a lot man, keep up the good work

  • hey man, your lessons are just great. I just started to playing guitar 2 month ago( I learn it myself) and your lessons really help....

  • man that was a good lesson, really, but you shuld do that music in the Guitar, the eletric make differents sounds. but I think it was great !

  • Thank you :D

  • el primer acorde ta malo pobre qliao! xD

  • Oh come on, my man, that lil' drink you played in the beggining was kinda fake, wasn't it? Anyways... Very nice. Thx for sharing the esperience.

  • also for those trying to play this, The 7ths ring out a lot stronger on all Estring bar chords if you not only release your pinky, but also place it on the Bstring one fret above your index and middle finger

  • dude it's Am to Am7. Not A

  • A minor than Amin7 not A and A7

  • HAHAHA.

    you're awesomee!

  • i really like how u showed the chords tabbed out will u were playin that really helps.

  • um... whats a chuck/chug, or what evver u call it(down, down chuck, up ect.)

  • Am Am7 G G7 F F7 C C7

    E E Am Am7

  • Good tutorial! You're great.

  • You frigging rock.

    Serioiusly.

  • the one part is e7 then am then am7

  • thanks for the lesson. 5 stars for you!!

one little thing, It will be so much better if you sing along when you play, at least i think it would help me more, have a good day :)

  • i suck with those types of chords.but u did nice!

  • ha yeah, i was gonna say the same thing, Am

  • nice lesson but im afraid the first 2 chords are wrong...

    try Am -> Am7 instead of A -> A7

    see ya ;)

  • Thank you for sharing this lesson. from South Florida.

  • Thanks that was great

  • excellent lesson, although on the chorus he changes from an Am to Am7 twice after the E chord (E-E-E-E-Am-Am7-Am-Am7) X2. great job tho

  • best lesson...

  • the song starts with an am/am7 ;-)

  • Thank you :D

  • how can a C be up on the first fret one way and then later its way down a few frets played with a bar?

  • You can play it wherever, its the same note, its just easier when you're playing the rest of the chords down on the first fret for the bridge.

  • Its alot to do with moveable chords and root notes... I'm sure someone can explain it alot better than I can... but its got to do with that... the root note will be the name of the chord..and as you know theres more just one of each note... they occure in octaves...

  • well.....its the same chord and the same notes with in a higher octave. you know the knows always repeat i.e in a c mayor scale: CDEFGAB and the it goes back to C and so on.....

    hope you understood it.

  • Why have you stopped making videos. =[
