Basically, when you get knocked out (severe concussion) it's due to trauma from the brain whiplashing within the skull.

After repeated concussions, there is always some residual brain damage, so a lighter blow will have the same effect.

Coupled with that is the effect on the jawbone itself. If it actually gets broken, it'll be fragile for quite a while (glass-jaw).

If there's damage to the TMJ, you'll always be easy to KO.
