  • Perfect, simply perfect. Big smiles.....wonderful....

  • no man looked so good in a tele

  • Incredible..... the band really sounding good here. Only thing missing is Gary'a organ work :-(

Clearance, though slightly slowed (sitting on a stool at points) is his legendary bad ass self and his sound carries the soung. I miss him so,so, much.

  • @Jammerkevin Could that be Danny's organ work??

  • now three person hates happiness.

  • Que du pur plaisir.. le Boss comme on l'aime

  • Eloquence,

  • big man. you are just one of those people the world needed. the coolest cat in town and what a sax player. nearly shed a tear when i heard. when i say this i really mean it as its a term that is used way to loosely now but big man you were and forever will be a true gentleman and legend.

  • Rest In Peace,Big Man!!! YOU WILL BE MISSED!!!!

  • Grazie per per tutti i sogni che mi hai dato ....ciao BIG MAN..oppala....!!!!

  • RIP Big Man

  • RIP Clarence

  • RIP Big Man

  • RIP CC

  • But the world just took one of these guys.

    RIP, Big Man, Clarence Clemons.

  • @RiseUp1000 they may take those who crafted the music , sadly

but as a consolation , the very art that endeard them to us is preserved for eternity, please , if you play pass this on

  • Via Con Dios, Clarence. You were one of a kind. You were the soul behind the E-Street Band. You and Bruce were live rock 'n' roll theater at it's best. As Roy Orbison sang, "I'm cry-aye-in', over you!" May God Bless you and keep you forever, Big Man. We will always love you. We will miss you!

  • RIP CLARENCE!!

  • "I know your Mumma don't like me 'cause I play in a rock and roll band and know your Daddy don't dig me, but he never did understand" That is the beginning of the greatest verse ever written in rock and roll! It just says it all.

  • "I know your Mumma don't like me 'cause I play in a rock and roll band and know your Daddy don't dig me, but he never did understand" That is the beginning of the greatest verse ever in rock and roll! It just says it all.

  • "I know your Mumma don't like me cause I play in a rock and roll band and know your Daddy don't dig me, but he never did understand" That is the beginning of the greatest verse ever in rock and roll! It just says it all.

  • *_*

  • " I know a pretty little place down San Diego way, there's a little cafe where they play guitars all night and day,you can here them in the background strumming so hold on tight becouse don't you know daddy's coming"...

  • One of the greatest songs ever, I told my best friend I had feelings for her recently and just wants to be good friends, it got me pretty down but when I feel like this I come to this video and watch Bruce sway from side to side and everything is happy again!

  • bruce come back to england...

  • 2 people are stuck in the mud, somewhere in the swamps of jersey

  • @ellisqpr86 I dare them to dislike The Boss dammit!

  • Oh man. There's something about this, I'm watching this giggling. It may be the best performance of music ever.

  • 61 and having more fun than ever. Profound.

  • he's my man crush <3

  • I think that it is awesome how Bruce has aged so well, in fact his voice has gotten better with age. I don't think any current artist will ever really be able to do that. The fact that I'm 15 adds to the obviousness of this fact.

  • @USOtaku013666 so true. I'm 19 and I know for certain there is no artist as talented as Bruce. He is the greatest rock performer of all time.

  • It must great having the best band in the world as the back up guys.

  • Mr. S. is a very very very silly man.

  • This man is in his 60s. And STILL rocks better than any of us ever will.

  • Does he ever age?

  • 3:14 haha, best sprignsteen/zandt moment

  • Mas de 20 años siguiendo al Boss, esta claro soy un esclavo de su musica.

  • so.....high

  • The heart stoppin' pants droppin' house-rockin' earth shakin' booty quakin' Viagra takin' love makin' Legendary......... E - STREET - BAND!!!!

  • @EbutUoyFAN666

    lol, EbutUoyFAN66,you forgot botox injectin'

Still lovin' The Boss and The Band after all these years, yeah they've slowed down with age but who doesn't?

  • Why do you think we still love the seventies??!!!

  • He's fucking sixty!!! LOL :D

  • great !!

  • Sweet Jesus... THANK YOU!!!

  • that was one of better live versions of this song I have heard (no live version can ever close to the studio verson which is a masterpiece) and he's almost 60 years old here

  • One person hates happiness.

  • @stephenthebassist i think it was justin bieber

  • It's all about making a joyful noise unto the Lord! So much fun here, great Bruce & the ESB!

  • he sounds better in some ways when his voice cracks

  • This guy is 61 and he can still do this...WOW most people tht are 60 are sitting at home watching tv..

  • @jan8138 most people are not bruce

  • 4:41 is sooooo cool

  • good ol Bruce. Rrrrrrrrrrrockin

  • I can barely , barely understand what's he singing hahaha, just kiddin, he's a genius!

  • Poor old boy hardly has the wind for it! Still, such a sweet song.

  • toujours au TOP notre ami Bruce

  • This is the most explosive rock and roll machine in existence.....where else can you see people having that much fun while they melt your face?

  • The BOSS rules what a performance! This is the day after glasto when he went over curfew what a guy!!

  • Diggin' the afro.

  • From Australia - the BOSS!!!

  • Eternal.

  • Thats why they call him THE BOSS

  • majestic, magic, brilliant, the biz, the bomb, the BOSS.

  • How can he be in his 60s?!? He looks about forty there! Fair play to the Boss :)

  • Still one of the best live performers ever !!!!!!

  • I was never a huge fan of his, but I just watched this concert on VH1, and this motherfucker GOT DOWN.

  • Not bad for a bunch of senior citizens who have been touring for decades. I'm pretty sure the world will never kill these guys.

  • @Xanthyd , lol, im a senior and ill run circles around you lol, its the music that keeps us young!!

  • I was there :0 ) Fantastic show! I'm in to punk, metal and hip hop but I can't help but love this guy! lol!

  • This guy is like a LOT of good vitamines, Yeah....

  • Love this so much. Never tire of this song. Just brilliant.

  • I was there best concert ever bruce is the best he sings he plays. it doesnt get any better than this. some perfomers can only talk songs and they cannot even do that properly . bruce is pure talent

  • this is just insane. i gotta see him live sometime

  • Bruce makes me smile!

  • The world should savour performances like this and pray for Bruce and the band to stay well, cause we're never seein anythin like this again!!

  • Love. love, love this man!!!!

  • This song alone made the DVD worth getting. Best concert DVD I've seen to date.

  • im on the london calling dvd woop!

  • he is becoming 30 again:D

  • meeting bruce would be like meeting jesus but only better. WHOO HOO!

  • RamrodtotheMax. You said it. I just bought the DVD yesterday and wow Bruce is THE BOSS! Listen to how raw his voice is on this song. He gives EVERYTHING EVERYTIME he performs. Some of today's acts could take a page out of the SPRINGSTEEN BOOK OF LIVE PERFORMANCES and learn a thing or two about giving it their all. This DVD is worth every penny. The man is 60 years old and blows away bands half his age. BRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCE!!!!!!!

  • First 20 seconds I see 80s Bruce again.

  • I've heard most of what Springsteen's laid down on record over the years, but it isn't until resently I've become a real fan really listening and enjoying it to the fullest. I don't know about any artist or band in the world that can put on a show like they do. The energylevel is out of this world, and The Man has written a few good tunes....to say the least:-) BS & ESB rules! Big time!!!

  • @IHIKML Enjoy the new experience. It only gets better.

  • When your feeling "not that young anymore", play this loud, sing and dance around ...you'll feel better. Good medicine!!

  • I don't know why, but despite the fact I've been a long term Springsteen fan, it is only recently that I have started to appreciate the genius of Rosie. This was always a song I skipped - and it wasn't that I hadn't listened to it 100 times as I had! I just never 'got it' for some reason until the last few months. From 4.00 until the end of this video is like what Springsteen and The ESB are all about!

  • No words needed - they've all been said and new ones must be invented. The faces in the crowd tell the story - from 6 to 60 having a blast. I've seen 'em all and Bruce and the ESB are on a different level - including Stones and U2.

  • I could watch the first 30 seconds over and over again...

  • Apparently the exclusion of this on the DVD tracklist was a mistake and it will be on there after all.

I guess I'll find out next week :)

  • " A record company Rosie just gave me a bid advance" I bet they did ;)

  • this song came after Born to run at this concert?

  • Comment removed

  • @narnode

No, this came out before Born To Run....it's from The Wild, the Innocent & the E Street Shuffle (1973). But didn't gain popularity and rise to it's proper place until after Born was released, then everyone started seeking all of his stuff. Things weren't as easy to market back then...you had to get radio play, have good management and play around a lot to get the word out. No internet to upload your album onto so people can play clips like today. He earned everything he has...

  • @narnode

    I mean this song....not the DVD...which I am getting.

  • @anenchantedvid Ok thanks, but I meant on just this concert :)

  • @anenchantedvid And, for back then, AM radio ruled. They only played this in NY, Cleveland and Philly on FM. Way to long for AM.

  • ROCK n' ROLL !!!!!

  • he still got it and still makes an almost fourty year old song still rock the house

  • 60 god damn years old...

  • It dosen't get better than this, bruce and stevie is dancing like boys and are in a playful mood perfect!

  • THE BOSS

    EL JEFE

    LE PATRON

    IL CAPO

  • Great Perfomance, Bruce gets better with age:-)

  • ...i ask myself what secret drug he uses...

    Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuce

  • Rock n Roll at its best!! Thanks for the inspiration!

  • 4.40...simply bruce

  • @asdasas2305

Favourite part of the song, fucking love it.

  • You know from the get go it's going to be epic.

  • cant wait for the DVD amazing performance

  • anyone notice Patti ain't there??

    Nope me neither...

  • The press release was apparently wrong. Rosie is going to be on the DVD rounding out the entire show!!

  • he's playing this with an enthuism of a father who just heard his son just got a noble prize.

  • Not heard this live on a live dvd since Born to Run 30th edition. Now a can watch it live again, 2009 in similar if not better performance. BROOOOOOCE!

  • Perhaps they dropped it because C messes up the sax intro.

  • Looks good to me. Can't fathom why they wouldn't include it, other than to annoy fans

  • This what rock'n'roll means to me.

  • y wood they not put this on the dvd? wtf

  • Exactly. I thought the exact same thing- so disappointed, really. I bet it was Sony's choice, I just can't believe it. This is like, the best part of the whole show. I'm confused enough that they're not making it the last Giants show or something...

  • i agree i cnt think of a reason not to include it...i was at the last show at giants and it was good but i think the shiw on 7/31/08 at giants stadium was better...i was there too

  • how can they NOT include this on the upcoming DVD???? makes no sense!!! It almost defines the essens of the show!!

  • @rolbocop I totally agree!!

  • @rolbocop I know both times when I went to see him, when he played this the whole house rocked and the feeling I got was pure joy. That's the beauty and power of music!

  • Awesome Boss and ESB!

  • Ignoring the fact that Bruce is hoarse from Glastonbury, this is the 2009 band at the top o' their game.

Stevie schtick: well-placed. Nils: on fire. Max: unbelievable. Roy: perfect.

And Clarence! Since he played the 2009 tour while ailing, he was hit-and-miss sometime.

Haha. Not here. Not here. In complete command of the sax parts.

This is the E Street Band at the top of their game. This is heaven.

  • dudes how are having a go about bruce's voice remember the dude was at glastoneburythe night before singing until nearly midnight you try it and get up and rock the house again he ani't the boss for nothing

  • great gig, yeah you do!

  • This video should be permanently promoted to Youtube homepage and be characterized as the state of the art of concert performances.

  • @grbosss Nobody would appreciate it... unless it was Radiohead

  • My fondest memory of 2009 being in Hyde Park watching Bruce and the E-Street Band play... Brilliant 5***** +

  • This is so damn fucking good. Bruce and the crew are SO entertaining in this one.

  • power house boss

  • I was there! :D This was one of those "I have to see Bruce do this live" songs on my list. Thanks for the memories!

  • Obviously towards the end of the show (I didn't go the Hyde Park), but cracking voice apart this band can still do it as per the original after all these years. Who else can do that ?

  • Awesome show. Was lucky enough to be on there. Bruce and the Band just keep getting better. Straight in to Rosalita from Born to Run. Don't know how they do it!

  • THE BEST!!!!!:)

  • and yet he was there to rock the house!

  • @Tommy1991129 I never said he couldn't rock down the house asshole!

But when you have seen him in 80 plus times then talk to me about the facts!

His voice was down right shredded!

Stevie had to take the lead vocal on London calling...but who really cares the audience out sings him anyway...get a life!

  • mayamgk0220 yea bruces voice was shredded you can tell.....there is talk this will be out on DVD ..STEVE buggered up london calling bruce was ripping it up so fine untill steve jumped in.

  • The best of the bests!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!amzing performance!gora bruce!

  • 4:40 full horsepower

  • Yeah that is fucking sick.

  • If there's more to life than this, I don't know what it is.

  • @RamrodtotheMax Yes, there is a penis that you use sometimes. This is better

  • @RamrodtotheMax

yepp... you're right. Said and done.

    Greetings

    Kuddl

  • 3:24 makes me laugh so hard:D

  • I feel he's started singing the older songs in the style he sang in back then, and I think its amazing.

  • superb!

  • amazing song, amazing performance

  • Amazing clip, !!!! haven't seen a pro

shot of Rosie for a longtime.

  • Bruce is cracking me up! I am going to see him for the second time in October. I saw him last August for the Magic tour and now for the Working tour. I am totally stoked because I got general admission tickets this time! No more nose-bleed tickets and hopefully my friends and I will be pretty close to the stage! Wish us luck!

  • Is it your first time doing GA at a Springsteen show? it's insane
