  • Good trap, I'd suggest to grind or file about a half-inch off the pan where it contacts the levers so that the pan lays closer to the base when the jaws are closed, otherwise the pan rises up with the closing jaws and if an animal's foot is on the pan, the foot can be kicked up with the rising pan and a toe-hold or a complete miss is the result. I do that to all my Dukes 'cause the #2s have the same problem. You will get a better catch if the pan can go all the way to the base of the trap.
