That´s right it is one of the best intro and indeed it was broadcasted worldwide, although I was mad here in Brazil, because the local tv network cut it for stupid commercials. But one could also notice the 1982 official for the World Cup soccer held in Spain has has many similarities, specially the zooming effects focusing from out of space into a soccer stadium.
Same intro in Chile.
