ascots and butterfly collars! The sweetest cure for your shoegaze, dreampop, bubblegum rock in the psychodelic mod sense, was developed in the Stereolab. If you are un able to afford your medication Stereolab may be able to assist you. Three Cheers been a fan for years!
One of the top bands of the 90s. Perhaps the most influential. Can't get enough of them. But, it's sad to listen to this song without Mary Hansen's voice.
Every-time I hear Stereolab I feel like I am being filmed in technicolor/panavision like a European film circa 1968. All pastel colors and winding roads though the countryside. Wearing an ascot tie and driving an Austin/Martin. Coffee's ready.
A 3/4 size Firebird?! Played left hand? With tuning heads on both sides of the head stock? And a 12 string?! With only a pickup in the neck position? The only thing it has in common with my "76 edition is the body finish, leave it to Stereolab to find a totally off the wall totally alien model of a iconic Gibson guitar!!
sooooooooooooooooooooooo good, great band for england.. they have so many good bands.. foals, bloc party, late of the pier, starsailor, goddamn electirc bill and so many more there to discover!! love em!
from wikipedia: On 2nd April 2009 Stereolab manager Martin Pike posted a message on the band's website, announcing that after 19 years the band would go into hiatus as "there are no plans to record new tracks". =(
Sounds Amazing, I Love these band, the sound is very eclectic, the voice of Leatitia is sofistecated, sometimes ethereal or sad. the STEREOLAB's music not is for everyone!
